The recently-elected MMU Co-Chair of Manchester Labour Students (MLS), Tayyib Nawaz, has stood down from his position, after the uncovering of offensive tweets seen by The Mancunion.

The tweets – some of which have now been deleted – regarding Jewish and gay people, as well as feminists, surfaced late last week and were brought to the attention of the society. At an official MLS meeting on Monday night, a motion calling for his resignation, brought by outgoing University of Manchester Co-Chair Zak Deakin, was unanimously backed by the committee. On Tuesday afternoon, Nawaz chose to resign from the post.

Former MLS Campaigns Officer Marley Bennett, speaking to The Mancunion before the resignation, said Nawaz was “largely unknown to Manchester Labour Students before winning the position of Manchester Metropolitan Co-Chair. It is unclear whether he ever attended an MLS meeting prior to winning the role.

“Tayyib says that the main reason he ran for Chair is to pass BDS policy [at MMU]. It is clear that he did not have our Labour values to heart when he did so.”

In a tweet on April 1, 2016, Nawaz said “the same victims of the Holocaust are now murdering and ethnically cleansing Palestinians…The irony”. At other times he makes comparisons between the Israeli state and the Nazis, and has posted such comments as “there were approximately 150,000 Jewish SS who personally were involved in the holocaust” and “Hitler was Jewish himself”. In April 2015 he seemed to make light of the Holocaust, tweeting: “Debating with an Israeli *Uses the Holocaust card* Automatic victory”.

In one tweet he appears to compare Israel to ISIS – “ISIS is not a democratic organisation like Israel but both murder civilians and claim their authority is from God”. In another, he says “Zionism is scum, even Einstein was against the Zionist terrorism which pressured the creation of israel”.

Labour Students societies across the country have faced scrutiny over alleged anti-Semitism in the past year; Oxford University Labour Club students were found to have engaged in anti-Semitic behaviour in a Labour inquiry launched after the high-profile resignation of their co-Chair, Alex Chalmers, who said members had “some kind of problem with Jews”.

Furthermore, groups on the political Left of politics have struggled with anti-Semitism. Last month the Labour Party was criticised for handing a one-year suspension, rather than total expulsion, to former Mayor of London Ken Livingstone after an interview in which he claimed Hitler “was supporting Zionism before he went mad and ended up killing six million Jews”.

Nawaz also seems to have tweeted homophobic and anti-feminist statements, such as “Muslim feminism supporters? Muslim Gay rights activists? If my kids were any of these I’d slap them […]”.

In one tweet, posted on 24 July 2015, he uses a homophobic slur: “When you spell Gay wrong but your phone auto corrects it to Fag”.

Zak Deakin, also speaking before Nawaz’s resignation, said: “The tweets that have surfaced in the last few days are completely abhorrent. Tayyib’s views have no place in the Labour Party and the fact that they came from an individual who holds an elected role within our movement makes it even more sickening.

“I stood on a platform of tackling Anti-Semitism and so I’m incredibly dismayed and frustrated that I once again find myself having to make a statement in regards to this blatant racism: I can only apologise to Jewish students who have again had to be put through this.”

Leoni Benabú Morales, President of the Manchester Jewish Society (JSoc), also condemned the tweets, highlighting that Jewish students in MLS “have already raised concerns about his election and what that means with regards to the increasing number of Anti-Semitic incidents in the labour party”.

He added: “Claiming that Hitler himself is Jewish and comparing Israel to Nazi Germany is an insult and should not be tolerated from anyone, much less someone who is meant to represent our students. For us, it is of uttermost importance that Jewish students in Manchester feel safe, and we believe that this is a step backwards in achieving that. The JSoc will not stand for this kind of racist behaviour”.

Mo Ahmed, a former MMU Co-chair of MLS and current branch secretary of MMU Labour Students, said: “I think the tweets are abhorrent. People who tweet these kind of things have no place in the Labour Party. Antisemitism is one of the oldest kinds of racism in the world, it has no place in a left-of-centre party… Also these tweets, other than being disgusting and abhorrent, are against Labour Party rules too.”

President of the MMU Students’ Union, Lewis Bartlett, said: “These comments do not represent the views of the staff and/or officers at The Union, Manchester Metropolitan University.

“The Union has and will continue to be an open and inclusive space for all of our members. We have worked closely with UJS, NUS and other organisations to ensure discriminatory behaviour is unacceptable within our organisation, and that we have the resources in place to support all students and religious groups at our university.”

This means we all need other diversions. For me, there is always morning coffee at lakeside and fishing (both weather permitting, which in summer is usually ok). I trade the market and golf. In September, I go to a cousin's farm to help with the harvest. I play bridge and I read a lot of E books too.

For others it's work or other hobbies. After all, we are humans. We are not niggers. We are typically engaged in something constructive, either for the body or the mind (often both). Every one of us, no matter how old or young, should be committed to a lifetime of learning. Niggermania is part of that. This is the best place to learn about niggers. I miss it when it's down.

Well, our new nigbours are now well and truly ensconced in their new abode. So far, we’ve seen and heard none of the telltale signs of infestation: no litter, no loud bongo music, no flash hoopties parked across our driveway- nothing yet, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed that they’re toeing the line, perhaps because they feel out of place and don’t want to risk upsetting their neighbouring whiteys. We did, however, hear this story from the builder who did some alterations to their house, and if you want something that succinctly sums up the character of the nigger, you couldn’t do much better than this.

This man is a very skillfull, conscientious builder, whom we’ve known since he renovated our place after we bought it, back in 2012. He does a good job, finishes on schedule, charges a fair price, and is a nice guy. We’ve had him back a few times lately for some minor fixes and modifications, and on his last visit, he told us this story. He was still a bit shaken up from the encoonter.

The nigs wanted some quite extensive alterations made to their house, and the cost came to over £30,000. Like any good craftsman, our builder friend made a detailed survey of the house, and produced an exact schedule showing what work needed to be done, the cost, and the time of completion. Payment was to be 50% in advance, and the rest upon completion, as is normal for most building work, I think. The buck paid his deposit, signed the schedule, and work commenced. As it went on, the builder sent regular reports and photos, so that the nigs could see exactly how the work was progressing.

Upon completion, the fambly moved in, and our builder friend went to check that all was OK, and collect the balance of his fee. As you might expect, this is when the trouble started.

First of all, the buck and his sow wife denied all knowledge of having hired the builder or commissioned any work. They denied having made any advance payment, although their was a bank draft in the builder’s account showing exactly when the said payment was made. When the builder pulled out the schedule with the buck’s signature on it, the two of them went immediately into cat 4 chimp out mode: “Ah don’ know who you are- Ah never gave you no authority tuh cum intah mah house- Ah din’ want no buildin’ work done- we don’ owe you nuffin- get outta our house now… etc.”

Our friend could see that he was not going to get anywhere, so he left, with an unpaid debt of over £15,000 hanging on his shoulders.

He now has to go through the long, drawn-out, expensive and difficult procedure of taking the niggers to court to reclaim his money. Of course it will be easy to prove that the debt exists; he has a record of the down payment, and the buck’s name, address and signature on the work schedule. If you’ve ever tried to reclaim money through the UK courts, however, you’ll know that having proof is only a small part of the story. The nigger can delay the process by months or years, just by denying everything until the case eventually comes to court. Then, when judgement is entered against him, there begins the process of actually extracting the money. If he doesn’t have it, that can either be a complete waste of time and more money, or can involve bringing in bailiffs to seize goods or, ultimately, have his house repossessed and sold.

The only bright light ahead is the possibility that the last eventuality may come about- that the nogs have to sell up and move in order to clear the debt.

We moved here, partly to get away from the increasing fuxation in London, where we used to live. We’re both aged 50+, have worked and saved hard to be able to afford this house, and were looking forward to spending the rest of our lives here. We’re not going to be forced out by a bunch of coons, but just knowing that they’re there has cast a blight upon our lives. I’m not normally one for expletives, but in this case, all I can say to sum up is… fucking niggers.

A Jewish-owned community centre pulled the plug on a planned Labour Party meeting after an election candidate was accused of making anti-Semitic remarks.

Ralli Hall in Denmark Villas, Hove, was to host Hove constituency Labour party’s inaugural annual general meeting but rescinded the invitation at the last minute.

Manager Maxine Gordon told Labour officials she was left with no choice after statements on social media by Rebecca Massey, the candidate for party secretary.

In a letter seen by The Argus, Ms Gordon wrote: “It came to my attention late last night there have been contentious statements made by Rebecca Massey on social media about Israel and Judaism.

“Due to the fact she was attending your meeting at Ralli Hall on Sunday, February 3, and our building and community centre is owned and run by a Jewish Foundation, we don’t feel it would be appropriate for the meeting to continue.”

Ms Massey is chairwoman of Hove, Brunswick and Adelaide branch of the party and is standing for election to treasurer of the Hove constituency party.

Delegates due to attend the Sunday’s meeting were told by the party’s regional organiser at 4pm on Saturday the venue was unavailable.

Comments by Ms Massey on Twitter included “Interesting insight into how Israel has Tory and Labour parties under control” and “How Israel lobby manufactured UK Labour Party’s anti-Semitism crisis”.

They were the subject of an article by the Campaign Against Anti-Semitism published on Friday which sent shockwaves through the Hove constituency party, already split between pro and anti Corbyn factions.

Several leading Labour figures have told The Argus Ms Massey’s tweets contravene the new broader definition of anti-Semitism accepted by the UK Government – and Labour – in December, which includes a prohibition against statements about “Jews controlling the media, economy, government or other societal institutions”.

Former Hove MP Ivor Caplin, who is Jewish, said: “The definition makes clear you can’t say the sort of things she said on social media and not be anti-Semitic.”

He demanded a retraction, resignation or disciplinary action by the party.

Ms Massey issued a statement saying: “I am not a racist. I do campaign for justice for the Palestinian people and oppose continuing violations of international law by the state of Israel. This is legitimate activity and not anti-Semitic.

“As a supporter of Jeremy Corbyn I have been targeted in a horrible way by people whose aim is to derail the democratic process in Hove constituency Labour Party.”

Some on the Left of the party suggested the furore was whipped up by centrists keen to prevent Corbyn supporters, elected en masse to executive committee positions in the Kemptown and Pavilion constituency meetings on Saturday, from taking Hove. Ivor Caplin said that was “absolute fabrication.”

A spokesman for Hove Labour MP Peter Kyle said: “The Jewish community in Hove has expressed concern about an issue with a Labour Party member, therefore it is only fair to everyone involved that this is looked into with unbiased and fair clarity.”

The National Union of Students (NUS) is embroiled in a fresh anti-Semitism row after three candidates holding or running for positions on its executive committee were revealed to have made offensive comments.

In online posts seen by The Independent, one current member of the union’s National Executive Council shared a video mocking Jews as having big noses and being tight with money, while another publicly suggested Jewish people are tight-fisted and said he wanted to destroy Israel.

A third, who is seeking a position on the union’s executive in elections being held this week, wrote an offensive Twitter message referring to Jews and using the phrase “Heil Hitler”.

The Independent can also reveal that, during her time as a student at the University of Birmingham, Malia Bouattia, the current NUS president, was involved in hosting a play called “Seven Jewish Children” that has been widely criticised as anti-Semitic.

Ms Bouattia, who is seeking re-election, was last year accused of “outright racism” by the House of Commons Home Affairs Select Committee over comments she made relating to Israel. She had claimed the University of Birmingham was a “Zionist outpost” and criticised “Zionist-led media outlets”.

The revelations come amid mounting concern about levels of anti-Semitism on university campuses. A survey by the NUS last month found a quarter of Jewish students in the UK live in fear of an anti-Semitic attack, while two thirds who had been the victim of crime at their place of study said they were targeted because of their faith.

The NUS annual conference, where it will elect its national officers for the coming year, begins in Brighton on Tuesday. Despite the deepening worries about anti-Semitism, a number of candidates seeking office have a history of making anti-Jewish and anti-Israeli comments.

Ali Milani, who is currently a member of the union’s National Executive and is running to be its Vice President for Union Development, was accused of “deeply anti-Semitic” remarks after tweets emerged from 2012 and 2013 in which he said Israel has “no right to exist” and is “a land built on ethnic cleansing and colonialism”.

Mr Milani, who is also president of Brunel University students’ union, also made a comment about Jews and money, tweeting: “Nah u won’t mate, it’ll cost you a pound #Jew”.

Mr Milani also appeared to defend the terrorist group Hamas firing rockets into Israel, writing: “Oh fuck off! Hamas firing into southern Israel was a retaliation!”

And he threatened violence against supporters of Israel, writing: “Just heard someone say ‘Palestine. It’s what they used to call Israel’. Is a punch in the throat justified?”

Another candidate running for a place on the NUS’ National Executive Council, Sean O’Neill, posted on Twitter in 2012 using the hashtags “heilhitler” and “fuckslutskilljews” – apparently in an attempt at humour.

Meanwhile, another current NUS officer, LGBT+ Officer Noorulann Shahid, who uses the pronouns they/them, posted a link on Twitter to a comedy video that includes a number of anti-Semitic tropes and said they had “laughed out loud” at the clip.

The video, titled “Black and Jewish”, is a parody of rapper Wiz Khalifa’s song “Black and Yellow” and makes jokes about Jews having big noses and being stingy. It features two black women dressing up in traditional Jewish attire and singing lyrics including “my ass and nose, they’re both big” and “don’t spend no money but you know I’m rich”. The tweet dates from 2012.

Mr Milani, Mr O Neill and Shahid, who are all part of a left-wing grouping that includes Ms Bouattia, have apologised for their comments.

But Josh Nagli, campaigns director at the Union of Jewish Students, said he was “appalled by these absolutely disgraceful comments, all of which are extremely offensive to Jewish students.”

“The regularity of anti-Semitic comments being made by candidates is exceptionally worrisome and shows complete disregard for the welfare of Jewish students, as well as for the anti-racist, anti-fascist values that NUS and many of these individuals claim to uphold – particularly when those comments invoke the memory of the Holocaust”, he said.

“These candidates should do the right thing now and step down from their elections.

“These comments should not be seen in isolation; they are reflective of a wider culture of wilful tolerance towards anti-Semitism from members of the far left of the student movement that has been present for a number of years.”

“A year on from her election, Jewish students are still waiting for an adequate apology from the current NUS President. From her and from others in the movement, there is complete disdain shown towards anti-Semitism, with many questioning its very existence on campus and in society, undermining Jewish students’ right to define what they deem anti-Semitic.”

One of the things I enjoy about the area where I live is that I can park on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean and watch Humpback Whales feeding....there's a favorite spot where I like to go that is easily accessible, but almost never crowded, where I can park my car and watch the whales come in close to shore and lunge-feed...

Great whale-watching conditions today, and I'm happily watching and admiring 5-6 humpbacks swimming around and feeding less than 1/3 mile from shore...I have my eyes glued to my binoculars and I'm just admiring the scene, feeling the ocean breeze on my face and hair, and smelling the fresh salty ocean air....it's so quiet that even 1/3 mile away, I can clearly hear the whales blowing...just a beautful, tranquil "Zen moment" watching these huge creatures in God's playground, doing their thing....

Then --- you guessed it --- after about 30 minutes of this beautful scene, a Nigger mobile pulls up about 20 feet from my car, and out spills a 30yr old or so chunky-looking Lo'Qweeshuh Niggappotomus, with its Ghetto 3-color hairstyle piled high on its head and gaudily painted claws and clashy clothing (purple blouse with leopard pattern tight pants, a multicolored scarf and high heels that showed its long paw claws painted in the same gaudy colors as it fingernails), jabbering noisily at her Nigger buck companion to hurry outta the car and "take sum pictures of me, Muthafuggah!"

They obviously don't notice the whales, and seemed only concerned about snapping a shot or two of the blinged-out sow with the coastal scenery in the background...I keep my silence so that they wont linger longer...just want them to take their photos and leave, pronto... She yammers at her boon, "Yo sure yo gots the scenery in da shot, nigga? Daym, make sure yo gets me in the shot right, know-wudaym-seyin? Damn nigga, hurry up!" And so-on....Air filled with Ebonics-laden jibber-jabber, punctuated with cuss words...

It just breaks the tranquil mood to hear this sow cussing and ordering her slovenly buck around as they get her posing for several quick shots...I just keep my eyes glued to my binoculars, following the whales, and cussing under my breath hoping the niggers would hurry up and leave....then after a few minutes which seemed like an eternity, the sow waddles back to the nig-mobile, the car starts up with a blast of cuss-filled hard-thumping rap music, and they drive off to wherever else they were going, leaving me again alone on the bluff, at tranquil peace with the whales...

An otherwise beautiful afternoon, briefly marred by niggers...but after they left, I enjoyed another hour of so of my special solace and communion with the whales...the memory of the niggers faded fast after they were gone...nature washes the soul clean....

When I recently looked into new video games to play, I came across an article that praised how “progressive” some mainstream studio was for adding black dudes to Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings universe. The game in question is Middle Earth:Shadow of War. Now, I love progressive causes as much as the libshit next door (no, not really), but that is downright ludicrous. Tolkien didn’t have black dudes in his books, so why should it be seen as laudable to add some after his death? That poor guy! He’d spin in his grave faster than Hitler if he knew about communism having taken over Europe.

But let’s just run with the diversity theme for a bit. Apparently white dudes can’t be among themselves anymore because “dat’s raycis”. Yet, to get some real diversity, why don’t we start shoving white dudes into purely black dudes groups? How about adding a token whitey to an all-black basketball team? Hey, who cares if he lowers average performance? We don’t care about the reverse in our schools either. And remember too that niggers have a basic and primitive jungle mentality so things such as violence and physical strength are looked upon as highly desireable while intelligence and cunning are looked down upon. That's why a nigger basketball player or criminal is looked up to while a nigger doctor or engineer is a sell-out to whitey. In fact, practically any nigger who works a regular job and tries to live a clean life is looked upon as an Uncle Tom and shunned by other niggers.

This behavior is just another manifestation of the fact that niggers are more akin to animals than they are to humans. After all, what separates humans from animals is the ability of the mind and intellect, not our ability to run, jump, or physical strength.

Ultimately, the nigger problem boils down to the mistaken belief that niggers can assimilate and get along in a civilized society or exist on an equal basis, they can not. Their diminished mental capacity and animal traits are ill-equipped to succeed in modern society and culture.

In contrast, remember that a pure-blooded, Sub Saharan African negro has not advanced or progressed in thousands of years. To this day, they still live in straw huts and barely even use rudimentary tools. The ONLY time they accomplish anything is when you introduce white blood in them.

And even then, their accomplishments are dubious at best. Just how many competent nigger doctors, lawyers, and professionals are there? Very, very few. An audience member during the event appears to shout “Jew Jew Jew” at the Labour candidate for the Bradford West, after she reiterated her belief in Israel’s right to exist.

The politician, who is looking to retain the seat on June 8’s election, was suspended by Labour last year for an anti-Semitic Facebook post. She has since apologised and been widely praised for her efforts to learn more about the Jewish community and Israel, after her suspension.

Shah said during the hustings, after being branded a ‘Zionist’ for her reformed views: “Do I believe in Israel’s right to exist? I continue to stand by my statement that I believe in Israel’s right to exist”.

A spokesperson for the Jewish Labour Movement told Jewish News: “Naz Shah has proven a steadfast ally against antisemitism. Her courageous defence of Israel’s right to exist reflects the journey she undertaken. We are appalled at the abuse she faced, and stand in solidarity with her.”

Michaela Vyse, Yorkshire and East Coast Regional Manager at the Jewish Leadership Council said: “We’re disappointed and saddened to see that at the hustings in Bradford West, the term “Jew” was used as an abusive term towards a candidate. We’re very disappointed to see this take part in a debate in Yorkshire.”

The Labour politician, 42, was suspended in May 2016 for sharing a post on Facebook suggesting Israel’s Jews should be relocated to the US and tweeting the hashtag “#IsraelApartheid” and a quote saying, “Never forget that everything Hitler did in Germany was legal.” Another post called on her friends to back a poll criticising Israel.

The posts appeared in early August, 2014, during the Gaza war between Israel and Hamas. She later apologised for the posts.

The event took place at Carlisle business centre in Bradford, and saw all candidates standing for election participate.

The Chicago Dyke March Collective, which threw Jews out of its march last month for carrying LGBT Pride flags with a Star of David on, has been criticised for using a phrase popularised by Neo-Nazis.

On the Friday, the collective tweeted out pictures of the pop star Beyoncé, along with the phrase “Zio tears replenish my electrolytes!”

The term “Zio” was first popularised by the far-right, with antisemitic hate preachers such as former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke using it on a regular basis.

However, the term has since gained popularity on the far left. Last February, when Alex Chalmers, the co-chair of the Oxford University Labour Club, resigned, alleging antisemitism among the society’s members. The frequent use of the phrase “Zio” was one of his charges.

When Shami Chakrabarti published her inquiry into “antisemitism and other forms of racism” in the Labour party, she described the epithet as “a term of abuse, pure and simple, and should not in my view have any place in the vocabulary of Labour members, whether online, in conversation or anywhere else”. This recommendation has been adopted by the Labour party, and party members can be suspended for using the term.

The Dyke March collective initially responded angrily to criticism of their use of the phrase. When one tweeter described it as “reprehensible… Do you want to associate yourselves with the KKK? Because that's what you're doing”, the Dyke March response was: “Wow, trying to compare a group of queer people of color to the KKK, so f***ed up”.

However, when criticism grew, the collective deleted their tweet, saying:

“Sorry y'all! Definitely didn't know the violent history of the term. We meant Zionist/white tears replenish our electrolytes.”

However, as pointed out by another Twitter user, the majority of Israel’s Jews are of Middle Eastern heritage, rather than European – and that by identifying Israel as “white”, the Dyke March was “erasing” the existence of millions of Jews.

Here’s what is true: the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that 40 asylum-seeking people from Romania arrived in the small town of California, Pennsylvania. There are complaints from locals about street-pooping (mainly by children) and chicken killing, which local police said they mostly could not confirm:

Some complained of public defecation by the children and said they had seen the newcomers killing chickens and committing traffic violations. Borough police said they could not confirm most of the alleged nuisance crimes.

In borough shops Friday, people were still bringing up the issue, with one man saying, “Where’s Charles Bronson when you need him?” a reference to the movie vigilante.

A local TV station, WTAE, also has residents complaining about “repulsive” behavior by the new arrivals, which is certainly not a standard racist trope used against new Americans for over 100 years. A petition signed by nearly 1,200 people incorrectly calls the asylum-seekers “illegal immigrants,” and calls them “a public nuisance” and dangerous to local welfare.

Glenn Beck’s padded room The Blaze picked up on those allegations, as did Fox News, both of which suggested the people who just got here and don’t know any of the local customs have failed to assimilate.

And now Carlson has jumped aboard this train straight to an FCC complaint: on Monday, he invited a Roma filmmaker named George Eli on his program and demanded to know why his people can’t use toilets:

Eli gently suggested that both the townspeople and the new arrivals “are suffering from a little bit of culture shock.” But Carlson had poop on his mind, and could not be swayed.

“I have heard a lot of people mention, I hate to say it, public defecation,” Carlson told Eli. “There are a lot of news stories about this going back a long time in the UK and here.” He mentioned pooping on “playgrounds and sidewalks and front steps... That seems to me to be a hostile act.”

Eli chuckled but kept it together, telling Tucker that while he didn’t know exactly what was going on in Pennsylvania, “I’ve been Roma all my life and my family’s been Roma all my life and we use bathrooms... I can’t respond to something I’ve never seen as a Roma person.”

Tucker could not be swayed. He wanted to talk about the poop. “What’s that about?” he inquired. “It’s not something you need to do. So you have to assume it’s a statement.”

Eli did his best here, pointing out that some Roma people are from rural areas without great sanitation, while also clearly thinking to himself, “Why does this guy want to talk about poop so bad?” He also suggested that Americans are welcoming and kind and would ultimately welcome their new neighbors, before asking Carlson not to use “stereotypes that are unfair.”

Eli is also the founder of the Romani Media Initiative, which seeks to portray positive representations of Roma people, which is probably why he responded to this outrage bullshit with patience and good humor.
