Sure, the [birth control] hormones in birth control lower the risk of ovarian cancer, which is, at this time, undetectable, but I've read reports that the estrogen in it raise the risk of breast cancer. Personally, I'm not going to take something that lowers the risk of one type of cancer while raising the risk of another type. I'll take my chances with natural family planning (which is NOT the rhythm method) and my family history of neither types of cancer. Also, the pill is only 99% effective if taken at the EXACT same time every day, and I don't know any teenager that's capable of that (in the case of Jerusha_Girl.) I disagree with your want to take your daughter to family planning the day she gets her period so much, it's not even funny. It's as if you're saying, "You're a woman now, go have sex!"

(after being asked to provide evidence supporting ID)

Uh, you see, I don't have to. YOur position is that ONLY Darwinism should be taught because it can be proven beyond a doubt, except for Darwin's rabid racism, fake fossils, things mistaken for other things, theories that change every few years, fossils put together from multiple animals, and oh, yes, your complete inability to provide transitional forms or prove how really complicated organs like eyes come out of nowhere in a short period of time.

My position is, you put everything out there, have a sensible discussion about it, maybe let the kids actually engage in some critical thinking instead of just memorizing pat answers, and move on from there.

Your side is absolutely terrified of ID. I just have to wonder why.

I see the evolution theory as just being a bit lucky that it falls under a class that is regularly taught in schools. Whether or not it's correct, it can continue to be taught because it's "science" and in this great country of ours I'd say most if not all schools have science class. Any other theories are screwed because we're so focused on being PC.

and as fAr as the muslim religion goes do some research they put the religion first. for they do not believe in god they believe in allAh.there is A big difference there. And they don't even put him first. otherwise they would worship jesus as god because jesus is there prophet and they won't accept anything he said As truth
i.e. when he wAs worshipped As god by a man heAled, or when he sAid he wAs god.

[responding in a thread about a new anti-privacy law signed by Bush]

The liberal media would have bashed him one way or the other.

The clear intent of the law was to help prevent cyber stalking, thus protecting woman and children. I have a problem with people who try to claim that the "wording" can take away freedom. Either they don't care who gets stalked, or they are doing it themselves...

Maybe one should only comment if they have a family and kids.....

BTW...what does Bush have to gain from that small, obscure section on a law thats directed at preventing cyber stalking? Let me guess...oil....

evolution= we are all one big accident, we dont mean anything, were no less important to life than an earthworm. we all evolved, from bacteria or watever the fuck it is, and about 6 thousand years ago a group of people, made up this big lie about god and everyhting and wrote about it, and brainwashed everyone into believing in god. and then when charles darwin came along he disproved those big liars. and freed all of u from being kept prisoners from their laws and thier sins. and now u are free to do anything u like. u should worship darwin, while i worship god. [...]

Evolution is just stupid, i hate athiests, but its not their fault they dont believe, its school thats brainwash them, i was once an athiest i know. watever u cant argue with them, cuz thats what they believe and thats wat their gonna back their arguments with. remember its not their faults their athiest.

God gave people what we need to survive. Many evolutionists argue that fish evolved into humans. How did they have the correct DNA sequences to develop back bones and limbs? A fish certainly does not have any of these things.
It is my belief that God gave humans as well as animals what they needed in order to survive. What looks like speciation is actually many recessive genes that have all came out together. To add to this dilemma there are different regions to the world. Naturally people in Africa are going to look different from those in Sweden. God gave humans the ability to adapt. Biological Evolution did not.
There have been fossils of humans found in Africa that have been said to have different jaw structures. First African Americans have differently shaped jaws than those of Americans, second as a skull ages the top bone of the jaw actually receeds and last undergoing thousands of years as a fossil the bones of the body undergo major changes caused by the pressure of the earth.

I have just been reading all the posts on this board and I am feeling a bit confused People keep getting miffed at GWB taking away our freedom and liberty. Since I have nothing to hide, I do not care if they listen to and record every communication I make. God is recording every conversation and every thought and we do not let that bother us. We do what we want anyway, regardless of the consequences.

Sometimes the only way to be free is to become a slave.

You decide to live by actual facts (the here and now, and what the scientists say because they are always right, right???) instead of getting to know our personal God.......Which if you ask me is selfish........You do what you want to when you want and how you want without consequences in your mind.......I think it is because the scientists don't tell you that you should live by God's word......They don't tell you what to do at all......This is safe for you..........Remember I am only warning you......I am in no way making you believe.......

Paul says that "on the day of wrath when God's righteous judgment will be revealed, "He will render to every man according to his works........for those who are factious and do not obey the truth, but obey wickedness, there will be wrath and fury." (Romans2:5-7)

Amazingly, only "The Time Of JESUS" stands alone in dividing our span through the ages. A year must either be BC or AD. This is to say that a 36 year span in between would belong to only one man. Jesus of Nazareth. So, we know as a fact today that After Death is exactly 2006 years ago. That's one hell of a thing to dedicate to one man, wouldn't you say? It would be an insane thing to dedicate to a myth.

['But by saying God, a religious word, it does include religion. And if you want more proof the God part wasn't an essential part, just look in the constitution. It doesn't mention God. The declaration does, but not the actual constitution.']

The Preamble: We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Oh my gosh!!!! "Blessings" is a religious word!!!!!

Face it. America was founded on faith. Not a specific faith, but on faith none the less.

Can abortion lead to homosexuality or infidelity?

Something to ponder. There's a lot of men who won't have a woman of their own. Something's gotta give.

[Blissfully unaware of Ecclesiastes 8:15 - "...a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry:"]

They simply do not care anymore and want to live this meaningless life with as much meaning and fun as they can. Why would you not do that if you simply are going to die in the long run anyway. “Eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow we die” is the motto chanted by many unbelievers.

Yes, I'm a GeoCentrist.
There are several scripture passages that indicate this, "The world also is stablished that it cannot be moved." Psalm 93:1. And science cannot prove either because motion cannot be proven (Newton's 3rd law of motion).
Interestingly enough, there is quite a bit of scientific evidence to support it though. I have a well done documentary which examines both sides and presents the evidence. Its an extremely interesting issue to examine!

Sincerely, Zach Doty

PS. One reason why Heliocentricity has been so widely taught as a fact in our schools is because it is more compatible with evolution. (A BAD REASON!)

One reason men are the head of the home is the mood related problems some woman are known to experience at their time of the month. As women get older they experience menopause mood problems due to hormone related problems.
If a woman has an historectomy is it not much harder to control mood related problems even with hormonal medication. I personally would not want a woman pastor cause of the mood of the woman might flip over something trivial. But I'll grant you that its never trivial from a moody womans point of view.

The heavens declare the glory of God. That's a good reason for all the planets, stars, etc. to be there.
