Even great church leaders like Peter are shown to be human and needing rebuke. (Galatians 2) This is how it is today.

Hundreds of Bible Prophecies have been accurately fulfilled. Many were written hundreds of years prior to the events they describe. One relates specifically to our modern world and I believe to the medium of the Internet which has a massive amount of knowledge in it.
'But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end:many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.' (Daniel 12 v4) Men are also being transported 'to and fro' with great rapidity unthought of in Daniels's day.

It doesn't matter what your opinion is about the age of child being spanked. It's the parents decision to spank his/her child regardless of their age. I've known highschoolers who got a good whoopin from their parents when it was deserved, so that doesn't fly. There was no evidence of abuse, and his children have even said it was no big deal. Any charge is too much, there shouldn't have been charges brought at all. The teacher overstepped her authority in this matter, and now a father is facing felony charges. As far as govt. schools, they are not excellent. There are good schools and there are bad schools, but they do not all fall into the excellent category.

Also, I don't know of any state that considers all children, until they reach 18, wards of the state. Children DO NOT belong to the state, they belong to their parents. Where are you getting this stuff?

Edit to add: I really hope you mistyped here, and don't really mean what you said here, because if you do, then I consider you to be a very dangerous teacher.

My point is that there IS a point if a mother gave her life for her child instead. It's a gift of Love in it's most honorable manner; and that's the gift of Life.

My pastor friend went through this about 2 years ago. He spanked his daughter and she reported that he was abusing her. After over a year in court, he was found innocent, but what a mess it made for him financially and for his family. His daughter was a young teen and had been sneaking out of the house at night, running with boys 5 years or more older and he was at his wits end. She now lives with his oldest daughter (who is an adult) and the family is fractured. I know this pastor and his wife quite well and they are wonderful Christian parents. They have 5 kids and this daughter was the only "problem child". It was so painful for them to go through that.

To me, even a couple of bruises are not enough to arrest this father, unless there was a pattern. This country is going down the tubes.

I'm consistent about this. That even goes for positions I disagree with. I support allowing interracial couples to get married. However, I recognize that in our country the people rule so it was wrong for the Supreme Court to overrule the people in Loving v. Virginia. They should've respected the will of the people, the majority that wanted interracial marriage illegal instead of legislating from the bench. The right way to get interracial marriage legalized was to change opinions and over time as opinions have changed so interracial marriage would still be legal today.

Just say no to activist judges legislating from the bench. They have no right to do that no matter what.

Why not in science classes? We're talking about public schools here. There are religion classes (that I know of) in public schools.

Science questions our existence, and tries to solve this through theories. Creationists put forth the idea of ID, packaged in a way that it can be taught in public schools without discriminating against students' beliefs.

Also, ID can have a scientific component. You guys make note of the chemicals used to create us, and their abundance in the universe and on meteorites. How do we know that another species or lifeform didn't purposefully "plant" us here? In that regard, ID can be scientific. After all, given all the planets in the universe, chances are there is life somewhere else. We could very well be designed.

This world wants to do whatever it wants and expects everyone to just say it's ok. Some people have feelings within them that will not accept this; it's called character. It's standing up for what you truly believe in instead of just going to church on Sunday and forgetting the rest of the week. Why would you mock someone that believes a truth and then lives by it?

The world wants to label you as "in-tolerant" if you do not accept wrongdoings along with the people that practice them. I agree that people that practice homosexuality should not be denied every human right, but a perversion of marriage is wrong. IT ALWAYS WILL BE. Love the sinner but hate the sin.

Should I just let everyone live how they want to and mind my own business? Sure, until you affect my community, society, government, and world views. I have to stand against that, and I always will.
