[About the UCF student that "stole" the Eucharist]

Catholics believe that the Eucharist is God Himself--who should dare to kidnap our God from His Holy Church? It is the *ultimate* in sacrilege. In the Middle Ages, the secular government would have sentenced him to death for something like this. The Eucharist is not something that should be taken lightly--He is God Himself. There is no excuse for that. The Eucharist should and must be treated with respect.

There is often debate about what makes someone a "True Christian"... but most of the time the subject is brought up athiests will retort with the tired "No True Scotsman" line (even though it's not actually a fallacy)... suggesting that people just make it up as they go along. So I will clear the matter up right now as to what makes one a true Christian, backed by Scripture. Here is the end-all definitive definition of a true Christian:

True Christian: One whose name is written in the Book of Life.

Has anybody ever observed gravity waves? Or observed gravitons? Yet, scientists all over BELIEVE they exist because they fit someone's mathematical model. Without any observation of these phenomena to PROVE their existence, would not anyone who believes these things exist be guilty of operating on FAITH?

The problem is not one of faith, everyone believes in something. The question really is what you are putting your faith in.

Jesus Christ is hardly flavour of the month.

The Pussycat Dolls are flavour of the month.

Messiahs and 3-day resurrections are very much Christian ideas. These ideas form the keystone of the Christian faith itself. Pre-Christian examples of resurrection and messianic figures are irrevelant to Christianity, aren't they?

Quote# 42749

[Classic Albert Mohler on choosing not to have children.]

Christians must recognize that this rebellion against parenthood represents nothing less than an absolute revolt against God's design. The Scripture points to barrenness as a great curse and children as a divine gift.

[snip]

The Scripture does not even envision married couples who choose not to have children. The shocking reality is that some Christians have bought into this lifestyle and claim childlessness as a legitimate option. The rise of modern contraceptives has made this technologically possible. But the fact remains that though childlessness may be made possible by the contraceptive revolution, it remains a form of rebellion against God's design and order.

Couples are not given the option of chosen childlessness in the biblical revelation.

[on witnessing techniques]

Say someone thinks they don't need Jesus because they don't think they are sinners, an alternative to using the law, is simply to prove imperfection.

I.E.

"Oh you think you are a good person huh? I agree, you probably are a good person, and you probably only sin once or twice a day right?"

Sin is what the Bible calls imperfections they are like lying cheating stealing, looking at lust etc.

So say you only sin twice a day, (thats better than me!!) well how many days are in a week?

7

ok and how many weeks in a year?

52

ok and so thats 104 sins!!!

Do you think you are going to heaven with all those sins?

No

thats why Jesus came and died, to pay our bail,

just A=admit your guilt

B=Believe He died for you

And C=commit to recieve the gift of forgiveness

WE ARE SAVED BY FAITH ALONE!!! It's ABC simple!!!

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - A man in Knoxville, Tenn., says he was so consumed by the spirit of God that he fell and hit his head while worshipping.

Now he wants Lakewind Church to pay US$2.5 million for medical bills, lost income, and pain and suffering.

Matt Lincoln says he is suing after the church's insurance company denied his claim for medical bills.

The 57-year-old has had two surgeries since the June 2007 injury, but still feels pain in his back and legs.

He says he was asking God to have "a real experience" while praying.

Lawyers for the church say he failed to look out for his own safety, and other congregants even saw him on the floor laughing after his fall.

Quote# 42714

Why the evil, hatred when there's proof of God 's(Adonai) existence...?
Ecclesiastes, chapters 1&3 and Daniel, chapter 8:5,21 lets us know that Adonai makes "history repeats itself." And we are forewarned by 6th century prophecy that as a sign Adonai is bringing the wickedness of this world to an end, the "male goat ("kingdom of Greece") will appear in the West, then cross the surface of the whole earth..."

Today, that prophecy is being fulfilled. On October 29, 1996, President Clinton, stated that "our forefathers...restored to Earth a form of government called democracy that had been all but forgotten for 2000 years. Since ancient Greece..." Before this, President Eisenhower, said (January 27th 1964): "The Western World is the child of Greece...what we are and how we feel today is linked to what happened in a Greek city 2400 years ago." And President George W. Bush said that the "roots" of "Western civilization...lead to ancient Greece."

So why the evil, hatred for the Holy Bible and insult those who support it?

Someplace were comments can be left for an article (not this one - might have been YouTube) there was an argument between Christians and non-Christians going on. Amazing how the non-Christians were saying, "Well, God is love, and because He's love He CAN'T send anyone to hell!"

They're worshipping one of God's attributes, and ignoring others, such as holiness and justice.

They're in for a really rude awakening! (nodding smilie)

I have finished college for the summer but two weeks before the end of term I got a really good witness with my college tutor. I mean really good! He threw all his arguments at me for an hour and a half. He found himself cornered so many times that eventually he didn’t know what to say. He was forced to admit that evolution is a religion, that the big bang is not part of science and that dinosaurs lived with man. He also admitted that there is no real way to know that the universe is billions of years old. He is by no means a convinced creationist, but they are some major concessions to make. One thing that I think that he was surprised to notice was the amount of times that he said ‘we think…’ ‘it might have…’ it’s possible that…’ or something like that. I took full advantage of pointing that out to him, and that opinions are not part of science.

Commenting on selected passages from the first three chapters of Genesis, Ware said Eve's curse in the Garden of Eden meant "her desire will be to have her way" instead of her obeying her husband, "because she's a sinner."

What that means to the man, Ware said, is: "He will have to rule, and because he's a sinner, this can happen in one of two ways. It can happen either through ruling that is abusive and oppressive--and of course we all know the horrors of that and the ugliness of that--but here's the other way in which he can respond when his authority is threatened. He can acquiesce. He can become passive. He can give up any responsibility that he thought he had to the leader in the relationship and just say 'OK dear,' 'Whatever you say dear,' 'Fine dear' and become a passive husband, because of sin."

["Why won't God heal amputees?"]

People lose their arms because God is allowing us to feel the full consequences of sin (pain, death, suffering) so we understand the seriousness of it, so we can repent from it and come to saving faith in Jesus Christ. That is why God is not healing everyone all the time; it would be supporting our sin, rather than judging it, and showing us the need to repent from it. We will all die one day because our bodies have sinned, and all that matters is this; have you repented and received forgiveness

Hello peoples. If (macro)evolution is so obvious, and is scientific "fact" (Whatever you say it is), then why does everyone need to be taught about it? Wouldn't it be stunningly clear to everyone?

In fact, why do we have no mention of (macro)evolution before Darwin? Didn't their brains evolve enough to understand? (If 50 people have a random thought, does that make it a fact?)

I feel Satan is throwing darts about everything in every direction. Even doubts come to me about the rapture. Like...are we dillusional? Have we missed something, that we are misinterpreting His word? Do we have it wrong, due to our limited human conscience? I know these are darts, because God is infallable. But if we have it wrong, then maybe He isn't coming for us, because it just seems so awesome of a thought that He will physically and literally take us out of this "mess" that has become the US, and the world. These are thought darts that run through my mind. WHY is He taking so long?

Sometimes, I feel that I cannot bear the thoughts of what our country has become. I see us leaning toward electing a man like Obama, and I just cannot fathom that we have gotten to this point.

I see a theory for evolution, but I do not see the truth for evolution that has been "obtained and tested."

If elements that were not there before the unraium {sic} atom was split appear after the uranium atom was split, and these elements talk, quack, and are chemically the same as other elements that appear in nature, then most scientists see the evidence for nuclear fission beyond any reasonable doubt.
