Most knowledge cutters the mind anyway and keeps us from learning what is truly important. Knowledge also puffs up and makes one haughty.

Those selected posts are "hate"? They need to get out a little more, hate is the trash they threw at GW for 8 years.

There's just no reasoning with people who see no problem in murdering innocent children by the millions and yet have the unmitigated GALL to call adult soldiers victims, and still ask God's blessing on him.

[On a world without religion]

Lets see ... Fed funded porno in elementary education thru high school, legalized drugs, no marriage, school would start at age 2 (get a good start on all that learning that God gets in the way of), euthanasia for the elderly, euthanasia for the young - post abortion, socialism, declining population, real global warming, high suicide rates, no fathers, community focus, individual neglect, fewer inventions, less poetry, big government, less freedom, no individual rights, criminal ruling class, pro-animals, anti-children ... and last but certainly not least ......... viagra for everyone!

I will be 64 in 2 months so euthanasia could be the way I go to the Lord if Obama has his way. He said he had a plan for social security well this will certainly cut out all the old folks and allow for all his illegal aliens to get on it and it will still stay solvent. This man is not a good man I have always felt it now the last week has shown me how evil he really is. My dad is 93 and finally had a little dementia but good physical health my family lives long lives but I think that will end with my generation. Hopefully the rapture is imminent.

Isaiah 17 is the last bastion of prophecy before the Church MUST be removed from the Earth. We aren't supposed to be here for Gog/Magog, because God will use that conflict to bring Israel back to Himself. Knowing this, I feel relectant to make plans beyond 2010.

(a response to somebody who claims to have been attacked by a demon named Resident Evil. Just as a reminder, this guy's writing is available from Christian bookstores - no Poe here)

It's very interesting you brought this up as tonight we encountered a evil spirit that was holding unto someone as a result of these kinds of games.

Just tonight Elizabeth and I dealt with 182 Zelda spirits (Zelda is a video game) within a young lady. In fact, he was holding unto the games she had played--Resident Evil, Warcraft I, II, III, Witchdrobe, D & D, and others.

These video games opens children (she started playing when she was 5 years old) to the demonic realm. It sickens me...

These were very violent demons and vicious but all 182 were driven out in the name of Jesus TONIGHT!!!

(later in the thread someone else talks about their experience with a Resident Evil demon)

[According to Sir David Attenborough, the Bible is to blame for the Earth's enviromental woes.]

Pollution must be the contributing factor to his loss of brain cells. Either that or he has spent far too much time looking at the world through a straw.
---
Yeah .....earth worship....... remember those people crying over a tree stump and talking to the forest? LOL!
---
Sir Attenborough is speaking from a very secular point of view and out of complete ignorance from God's final word.

Just look at what is happening in nations where the bible is not being preached:

Over-population, corruption, war, rebellion, disease, self-centeredness, sin is being accepted as being "good", moral decay everywhere. And this is the Bibles' fault? Save the earth. Hug a tree and kill a baby....

I see a rampant spirit of rebellion and pride everywhere.
---
I challenge this PC-spouting "scientist" to take a good long, unbiased look at the communist satellite countries, that have broken off from USSR; countries, by the way, that based their entire enviromental philosphies and culture on atheism.

Even the hyper-environmental rag, National Geographic, noted the blackened wasteland of Romania after decades of athiest/socialist rule. Ditto for the rest of the former communist eastern Europe not to mention Russia and China--the two worst offenders environmentally. They have totally TRASHED their land, water, air, etc.

I'm able to debate with other religious people, actually quite well. I don't have any problems with that, or seeing another point of view. However my position is unchangeable, regardless of what you throw at me. I will never concede or even slightly compromise. I'm not a rational logical man of the world. I'm a fundamental Christian dude.

Oh wait, that would be bad for PR and when something is bad for PR darwinists just sweep it under the rug and pretend it doesn't exist...so guess they won't be doing that.

Quote# 58389

Self abuse from the 1605 Etymology dictionary says that it is self-deception, a synonym for masturbation or self pollution. The American Heritage Stedman's Medical Dictionary says it is the abuse of oneself or one's abilities.

And if that's not already agonizing, it's a never ending cycle that you habitually become dependant upon, like a drug. And like any other drug, you can never achieve the high you're looking for...Because MASTERbation will MASTER you! You enter into a contractual agreement with it and it will govern your life sexually. It will rule and control your life...it taps you on the shoulder 3 o'clock in the morning even when you don't want it. You want to stop but you can't. You cry, you repent and say you won't do it any more but you find yourself molesting yourself again...When will it ever end? I'm here to tell you that cold showers don't work and saying you won't do it anymore won't either. Because masturbation has become your MASTER. Its appetite is ferocious and it will not end until it dominates. It will live up to its definition and leave you stupefied! Its three second ecstasy will put you in a stupor and numb your faculties, your senses and sensibility...Your receptivity and emotional response. It will control your intellect, your reasoning, your judgment of things, and your own significance and leave you trapped in a mind full of warped sexual fantasies. It will overpower you, subdue and suppress you, hold you back, paralyze your forward movement and hinder you from walking in what God has for you. Is having sex with yourself even worth it?

Quote# 58257

[a witness for the creationist board in the texas schoolbooks dilemma]

Why do we persist teaching students the religion of atheistic humanism, under the guise of scientific, factual evolution? Which is neither scientific nor factual, when you only present one point of view.

Teaching students that they evolved and are nothing more than animals degrades their quality of life, and robs them of meaning and purpose for life. The twisted reasoning of humanism in seeking to exalt man, reduces him to an animal devoid of will and the ability to choose the virtuous. The fruits of this God-denying teaching are: lying, cheating, stealing, promiscuity, chemical abuse, suicide, crime of all sorts, and a reduction in academic achievement.

There is no factual scientific proof that functional complex life has arisen from disorder by chance. Who are you going to believe - God that was there, or men that weren't?

Fr. Thomas Euteneuer, president of Human Life International and an exorcist, spoke at a luncheon hosted by In His Sign Network (IHS). He is an exorcist authorized to perform exorcisms in several states, and highlighted the connection between the abortion industry and demonic influence.

“Abortion is a demonic industry,” he told The Bulletin. “Abortion is blood sacrifice of innocent blood to the devil. The clinics are like temples, the doctors are like priests, the medical table is like their altar. It’s a ritualized sacrifice. They have a dogma called choice, a hierarchy called Planned Parenthood, and guardian angels in the form of police guards that will arrest you if you try to stop them.”

Quote# 58222

[The expansion of the fabric of space is accelerating from an unknown force (dark energy).]

You choose to believe in unknown force that has never been observed, quantified or tested. It is a construct to get the Big Bang theory to work out.

I choose to believe in Jesus, God in the flesh, creator of all things, who lived, was crucified, dead and buried, an rose on the 3rd day to prove His claims, He is attested to in the words of the New Testament.

Who has more faith?

Colossians 1:15-17 reads "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Ultimately, Jesus is the one (not the inanimate force) that you seek!

Is an atheist who practices pagan rituals a pagan? For example:

Mrs Jane believes that there is no god. She believes that you die and then
there's no conscience and total blackness (Annihilationism but no God for
anyone). Mrs Jane also celebrates her birthday every year, celebrates
Halloween, Valentines Day, St Patrick's day, April fools day, Christmas, and
every other man/demon made holiday.

Wouldn't this pretty much make her a Pagan Atheist?

Also what about a Christian who celebrates pagan holidays? Are they Pagan Christians?

Quote# 58242

(not that we needed any more proof that the Rapture Readians are batshit insane, but...)

I allowed my oldest daughter (she was 18 at the time) to make her own decision about the Harry Potter books, because when she first started reading- I knew nothing about them. After the first two books-- she brought the stack of books out of her room and said she didn't feel right about reading them, because she was remembering all the spells that were done in the books at random times. She would be sitting somewhere doing something totally unrelated and she could remember every word of the spells in the books just out of the blue. It scared her. We got the books out of the house-- and we had prayer over our home--and over our daughter. She says that even now, she still has thoughts about some of the spells in those books that she read. It's been over a year since she read them. I've encouraged her to just pray-- every time one of those things enters her mind. God is stronger than any seed that may have been planted in her mind from a book.

I personally suspect that persecution is coming more subtly, like losing your job if you refuse to go along with a new program. Those kinds of things are already happening without resorting to WW II style concentration camps. When I worked as an engineer in the U.S. 11 years ago, we were openly informed that if we expressed certain opinions at work, and others on the street, we were liable to be heavily fined and lose our jobs as liability risks to the company under provisions of the Americans With Disabilities Act. A number of teachers have lost their jobs just for questioning Darwinism. They don't have to do something so dramatic as put us in concentration camps. They can just put us out of work, take us to court under existing statutes, and leave us penniless in the streets without even a bowl of prison rations. I think the watch dogs are barking up the wrong tree.
