I'm almost afraid to have children because I don't want them to grow up in this world even though time seems as it will be short.

I just read this book called the Way Home, by Mary Pride. It's about feminism and how it has infiltrated the church. It's really frightening. I'd gotten really feminist in my thinking, too--how women should work outside the home, only have kids if you want them, women are mentally and physically equal (or superior) to men, etc.

Pride talks about how feminism is actually a religion, and their agenda is to castrate the "male religions", which are Christianity and Judaism. They're totally into Goddess worship, which they recommend performing in front of an altar with a mirror, to remind you that you are your own goddess. And if you, as a goddess, don't want that unplanned pregnancy interfering with your career, then you have the power to eliminate it.

The church has embraced so much of feminism that it's horrifying. Christian women aren't told to be workers at home, love their husbands and their children anymore ... they're encouraged to work outside the home. The divorce rate for Christians is almost the same as for non-Christians. There's some serious problems, here.

It's hard to talk about The Way Home, actually, because it's hard to explain all the de-brainwashing you have to do in order to understand it.

I remember a few years ago a friend and I were walking through a mall and here is some kid about 17. Undoubtedly a 17 year old online atheist character like most of you and he is wearing a shirt prominently displaying something like *beep* Jesus ~ Evil Rules'.
Anyways, after convincing ourselves we really did see what we saw we doubled back and blatantly reread his shirt before we went over to 'ask him' to take it off immediately.
We didn't get a chance as he was already aware we were going to be putting and end to his t-shirt, got very nervous and scuttled behind a kiosk and did a disappearing act we figure down a maintenance hallway.

But Im quite seriously offering our own little 17 year old suburban american marylin manson teenager some helpful advice. If he does get caught defacing a Bible or wearing t-shirts proclaiming such things there is a very realistic possibility he will get seriously beaten down in public one day.
Rather than guffawing away at me - you ought to thank me for giving this kid some advice that might save him a lot of pain and suffering.

Just a few days ago, my son was deathly ill. He had been vomiting and had been suffering from diahrea for several days and was very dehydrated. We thought he had the flu. Got him to the hospital and learned that he had severe diverticulitis and there was actually a tear in his bowel. The doctoer was prepared to major surgery yeaterday morning. However, the very strong antibiotics he received overnight made helped him enough so that the doctor decided the surgery wasn't necessary. Of course, I know that the real reason my son's health improved so much overnight is because God heard and answered all the prayers for him. Praise God for His faithfulness. As severely ill as my son was, God never threw up His hands and said I don't know what to do. He has all knowledge and all power. This was a cinch for Him.
