Some folks find it incredible that I believe the Earth is 6,000 years old.

I find it incredible that highly educated people think we evolved from sludge or apes. A keen study of our five senses should end any speculation at once and forever. But they keep believing and promoting a lie from the master of lies.

They are better off believing aliens seeded the planet a long time ago then to indulge in nonsense about evolution.

How else would so many of those girls end up pregnant, if God were not in the back seat there with them, doing His creative thing, there? (Psst: every act of sex is a prayer for a baby, and God really likes to answer this prayer, even at times when it might be inconvenient to the parents.)

Naushad Valiyani, a Muslim doctor in the southern city of Hyderabad, was arrested Friday after a complaint was lodged with police alleging his actions had insulted the Prophet Muhammad, said regional police chief Mushtaq Shah.

The case began Friday when Muhammad Faizan, a pharmaceutical company representative, visited Valiyani's clinic and handed out his business card. He said when the doctor threw the card away, Faizan went to police and filed a complaint that noted his name was the same as the prophet's.

Shah said police were investigating whether Valiyani should be charged with blasphemy.

Jon Knudsen, the pastor of the Løkken Free Church in the Jutland town of Vendsyssel, loves Christmas, but he hates elves.

This weekend, Knudsen’s hatred for the creature he says “comes from the devil” manifested itself in the form of a mock execution by hanging of a Christmas elf outside his church.

Around the elf’s neck was a sign reading “we reject Satan and all his works and all his empty promises”, a reference to the Christian baptism rite.

Knudsen said decorating with elves at Christmas was “comparable to decorating with Nazi flags”, and described elves of all sorts as “poltergeists that come from the devil and make children sick”.

For some time I always tried to figure out the Liberal skewed lack of logic.

It's common knowledge that all Liberals are religion hating atheists hence the reason why they hate Christianity and Jews hence the reason why all Liberals attack Christmas and try to ruin the holidays for everyone every year.... but yet they sympathize and ally themselves with such a hostile barbaric religion (and political ideology) such as Muslims and even went as far as defending these barbarians rights to build a mosque at ground zero while spitting on the graves of the fallen victims of 911.

My guess is the Liberals reason for sympathizing with Islamic Muslims is because they (Islamic Muslims) are the enemies of their enemies (Christianity and Conservatives) therefore Liberals sees them as a ally in their hatred and fight against Christianity and Conservatism.

(The first reply: Makes sense to me, as far as you go. Might there be some deeper unseen elements at work?)

IMSAVED: "WHAT? That is crazy. Maybe it is being used in the rapture senario somehow"

carlos.c304: "This group of people is a cult with totally unscriptural doctrine and beliefs. Their conclusions are entirely faulty and their doctrine is herecy. [...]"

BarbT: "A caller into his show berated him for ignoring scripture which tells us *no man knows the day or the hour*.

Camping got angry and responded "true believers" CAN know the exact day and hour....of course he and his supporters are the "elect" true believers while the rest of us are hell bound. [eye-roll]

Get ready folks ...... this guy is going to be VERY embarrassed on May 21st. It'll almost be worth holding off the rapture just to see it."

Spiritual health advisory: AME pastor spreads deadly spiritual virus

Its our urgent duty to inform you that Dr. Teresa Brown, the assistant pastor at New Bethel AME church in Lithonia, GA is spreading a deadly disease called SIV. The Spiritual Immunodeficiency Virus is a highly infectious spiritual disease which disables an individual’s ability to know truth and defend themselves against false teachings. The consequence is those who are infected, infect others and can kill the spirit. SIV is an equal opportunity killer and those who do not embrace God’s truth are at high risk.

Brown, also a professor at the Chandler School of Theology, told NBC’s progay, African American flavored newsblog The Grio multiple lies and distortions about homosexuality, the bible and the church [source].

The article itself attempts to do in the “black church” what political homosexual activists have done in the military with the Dont Ask, Dont Tell policy. As we have told you before, the church activists have the same agenda as the political activists. Tear down any and all barriers to homosexuals gaining unrestricted access to positions of power within the church.

A Republican congressman hoping to chair the powerful House Energy Committee refers to the Bible and God on the issue of global warming.

Representative John Shimkus insists we shouldn't concerned about the planet being destroyed because God promised Noah it wouldn't happen again after the great flood.

Speaking before a House Energy Subcommittee on Energy and Environment hearing in March, 2009, Shimkus quoted Chapter 8, Verse 22 of the Book of Genesis.

He said: 'As long as the earth endures, seed time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, will never cease.'

The Illinois Republican continued: 'I believe that is the infallible word of God, and that's the way it is going to be for his creation.

'The earth will end only when God declares its time to be over. Man will not destroy this earth. This earth will not be destroyed by a flood.

He added: 'Today we have about 388 parts per million in the atmosphere. I think in the age of dinosaurs, when we had the most flora and fauna, we were probably at 4,000 parts per million. There is a theological debate that this is a carbon-starved planet — not too much carbon. And the cost of a cap-and-trade on the poor is now being discovered.'

The Republican is a vocal opponent to President Obama's American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009 - the so-called 'cap-and-trade' Bill, aimed at limiting carbon emissions.

The Bill passed the House of Representatives last year, but has yet to pass the Senate.

A very common argument against capital punishment is that many innocent persons are executed.

The difficulty with that argument is that the execution of innocent persons actually performs a useful function.

Those who are executed are frequently black (unless they happen to be wealthy) or poor whites. I haven't done any research on this, but my general impression is that when someone of wealth or high social standing is tried in a case where capital punishment is possible they get off the hook, like O.J., Leopold and Loeb and others.

All of which works out well from society's viewpoint. The poor person who commits a capital crime is far more likely than a wealthy person to commit similar crimes if he escapes the chair or gas chamber or firing squad. The wealthy person who gets out from under that threat is unlikely to commit a capital crime again.

So, executing innocent persons may actually be an argument FOR capital punishment.

Let's have us a little science here, rather than uneducated conjecture as seems to be so prevalent on this post. You know...all of these answers are out there and are easily tangible if you read the bible and do a little bit of research that doesn't involve atheists and their pithy opinions.

Read this:
http://www.drdino.com/the-star-of-bethlehem-fact-or-fiction

Stop believing every atheist is smart, they are generally children looking for a place among the greats but sadly they have no greater accomplishment then trash talking what they do not understand. Nearly every great scientist was Christian: Newton, Maxwell, Legrange, and the list is huge (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Christian_thinkers_in_science).

The reason for this is they didn't spend all of their waking hours trying to disprove and everpresent fact. There is a God, He sent is Son to reconcile us to Him by taking our Sin and NAILING it to a cross.
Yes there was a virgin birth and no that is not normal.

Yes Jesus lived and died a sinless and unmarried God/man.

No the church is not perfect and never will be, in fact if you find a perfect church don't join it...you'll only mess it up.

No being Christian isn't about living your life trying not to sin, if it were then we'd all sit and do nothing so we couldn't sin. The POINT was that we WOULD do something, that we would tell the world about Christ's sacrifice so that you all can know Him.

Going to Heaven isn't about WHAT you know, its about WHO you know.

St. Peter is NOT standing at some pearly gate, the gate keeper is Christ and no one else.

And if you like to think of Christians as stupid and ignorant fools that have to leave their brains at the door when they go to church then you are sorely mistaken. To know Christ and to understand Him is the most deeply involving mental task you will ever try to undertake, and without Christ's salvation and the holy spirit living inside you one can NOT understand.

I don't judge you, I simply point out the fact that you can't stop judging others because of your own fear that everything I am typing is true and you know it.

Here's what "should" means to me when it comes to public policy: What we hear in the pews on Sunday "should" be public policy on Monday. We acknowledge our own shortcomings as human beings in doing what we "should" do in God's eyes, so we bind ourselves by legislation to compel, in moments of weakness, actions that we know in moments of reflection that we "should" take. We fully understand that doing so constitutes coercion of others not so inclined. However, we consider that coercion, including the collateral effects of that coercion, to be a price worth paying for fulfilling certain responsibilities to our fellow human beings in accordance with what we perceive to be God's will.

A transgender woman on Thursday filed a claim against the California Department of Motor Vehicles, saying the clerk who handled her application for a new driver's license sent her a letter at home calling her gender change a "very evil decision" that would condemn her to hell.

Amber Yust, 23, said the clerk at the department's San Francisco office processed her application for a license with her female name in October.

She received the letter addressed to her old name, David, four days later. It identified the writer as the person who processed Yust's application.

"Although I helped you with the name change, I have to say I do not support the reason for it," says the letter, signed with only a first name and typed on plain paper. "I also do not believe the state's recognition of it - through official documents - makes it legitimate or any less evil."

Yust alleges the clerk used a state database to find her home address. She said she also received a pamphlet from a New York-based conservative Catholic ministry to whom she thinks the DMV clerk furnished her address. [...]

Yust's lawyer, Chris Dolan, said he and staff members at the nonprofit Transgender Law Center in San Francisco think the worker who wrote Yust is a DMV clerk who was disciplined last year for allegedly telling another transgender woman that he did not want to help her and "God will send you to hell."

Ho hum.

The media discredits anything the Right does. So what if they want a CC in place of a Jew? Isn't that their right? Of course it is! And I for one am sick of Christian Conservative being a dirty pair of words. I want them emblazoned on a 100x100' flag and flown from the top of the capitol in every state, every territory, and every other US jurisdiction (such as DC). We need to make it plain that Christianity's principles made this country great -- not Izzie principles, not Jewish principles, not Hindu or Buddha or Taoist or animist or Kung Fu beliefs.

Then, after 20 years or so, when everybody "gets it," then we can quit worrying about it, take them banners down and go back to being -- a Christian nation that lets others be so long as they're law abiding and not out to wreck our Christian nation. That is the principle that needs to be appended to the Constitution -- that this is a Christian nation based on Christian principles, and no one will be allowed to try to take the nation down by using its own rules against Christianity, in places public or private.

Free speech is free speech, but you don't get to use it to impugn Christ. All religions are equal, but Christianity is more equal than any other. Judaism is next more equal. After that they're all the same. You don't like it, phuqq you.

The overriding point here is that we were great when we didn't question Christianity or push the laws or customs to the very outermost limit. Then along came the ACLU, doing just that. The only way I can see to forestall such death-by-a-thousand-cuts is to make it unmistakably clear that Christianity and Judaism are the sources of our greatness, and we won't allow pissants to tear us down.

[Regarding child witches in Nigeria]

We are the only ones who really know the secrets of witches. Parents don't come here with the intention of abandoning their children, but when a child is a witch then you have to say "what is that there? Not your child." The parents come to us when they see manifestations. But the secret is that, even if you abandon your child, the curse is still upon you, even if you kill your child the curse stays. So you have to come here to be delivered afterwards as well.

We know how they operate. A witch will put a spell on its mother's bra and the mother will get breast cancer. But we cannot attribute all things to witches, they work on inclinations too, so they don't create HIV, but if you are promiscuous then the witch will give you HIV.

Christians have no fear of atheists, just concern for them. There is a God and abundant evidence in nature and the universe to prove to any logical and open minded thinker that God exists. Intelligent design is seen everywhere in the universe, from plant and animal life to the stars and galaxies. Ignore it if you choose, but it is there and demands an answer. The answer is not in evolution or the string theory but in the Bible.

Think of it this way.. if believers are wrong about God they have lost nothing but if they are right they have gained everything. If I were a betting man those would look like pretty good odds.

On the other hand, if atheists are right and there is no God and nothing but a vacuum after death, then they have neither lost or gained anything, but if they are wrong they have lost everything and face a terrible eternity. Not good odds.

But if atheists or agnostics will only start to read the Bible and approach God in prayer amazing things would happen. It will be like gradually receiving your sight after being blind.

If anyone really wants to know if God exists I can only say put down Origin of the Species and pick up the Bible and start reading the Book of John to start with. You might also be greatly helped as I was by reading Mere Christianity by C.S.Lewis on the side.

Think for yourself, forget the status quo of atheistic thinking, and approach God directly. Be an independent thinker with an open mind and a real desire to know the truth and you will find it in the Bible. There is no hope or meaning for life anywhere else.

Unfortunately, my observation over the years has been
” You can lead an atheist to evidence… but you can’t make him think”.

[Thread: Spiritual Warfare! Atheists at my college, please help]

Apparently either Satan was listening when I posted here that my sister is the first atheist that I've met (although, to be fair, I haven't met these people at my school) or God means to use me to minister to atheists.

Either way it's terribly hard and I need the advice of other strong Christians.

I study education at a large community college. In the student commons area there are bulletin boards to be used by students for just about any purpose. There are ads for housing and textbooks as well as ads for area churches and church events. I, and some other Christians, put tracts up there as well as on various free spaces (the tops of fire extinguishers, the bathrooms, etc.)

The tracts are always gone in a short amount of time and I assumed that they were taken by genuinely interested parties. Now I think they are taken down by atheists. This is why--

I went to school today and stopped by the bulletin boards to tack up more tracts, as I always do. There were no Christian tracts up but there were atheist tracts. They said things like "God is fake" and {Mod snip}. I took them down, of course, and I'm FURIOUS. It's complete and utter blasphemy. Who would put these up?! Why?! If you don't believe in God why try to trash Him and keep others from His message? It makes me physically ill. I kept them for evidence but I can't stand to even look at them.

What can I do? Can I take these tracts to the Dean? Do I have any recourse? I'm trying hard to pray for discernment but I'm honestly so furious that I'm just spitting mad that someone would do such a thing. I need words of wisdom from wise Christians who are used to dealing with this kind of thing because I'm in over my head.

Homosexuals claim they want the "right" to get married and live normal lives just like heterosexual married couples.

The truth is, however, that the drive to gain legalization of so-called "gay" or "same-sex" marriage is part of a larger sexual agenda. Homosexual activists are now beginning to openly admit that they don't want to marry just to have a normal home life. They want same-sex marriage as a way of destroying the concept of marriage altogether-and of introducing polygamy and polyamory (group sex) as "families."

They are finally admitting what the Traditional Values Coalition (TVC) has been saying for years: Their ultimate goal is to abolish all prohibitions against sex with multiple partners.

Dean said that Ellison’s support for protections for LGBT people from hate crimes and for same-sex marriage is part of an attempt to overthrow the U.S. Constitution and implement Sharia law.

“Why is he so adamant about overthrowing the Constitution as it is right now? Because if you pay attention to the plow he’s planting the seed,” Dean said. “He’s trying to come through with Sharee [sic] law.”

Raising his voice, he urged his listeners, “Does somebody want to talk to the homosexual community in the state of Minnesota and tell them what he is doing? Go online, folks! You love the homosexuals so much then why don’t you tell them who they’ve appointed as their chairperson? He’s a Muslim!”

He continued, “Hello? Why is he after it? Because he wants to bring in Sharee [sic] law through the homosexual agenda!

“They are using the homosexuals as a political battering ram to bring forth what? Sharee [sic] law.”
