While I was there, FRC opposed same-sex “marriage,” opposed Bill Clinton’s attempt to end the military’s ban on open homosexuality and we published papers warning about the promotion of the radical homosexual agenda in the public schools. Those issues were well worth public debate then and they are today.

Nothing has changed at FRC since Tony Perkins took over. It was not a “hate group” when I ran it and it is not a “hate group” today. What has changed in recent years is the aggressiveness of the “tyrants of tolerance.”

The Left has been on a cultural jihad to label traditional conservative values as “hate” and beyond the pale of public discourse. Those who demand tolerance for every imaginable “lifestyle” are incredibly intolerant of conservative views, and they seek to silence us all. They would shut down any defense of traditional marriage and the sanctity of life as “hate speech.”

A group called American Atheists purchased a billboard in New Jersey that shows a silhouette of the Three Wise Men approaching the Nativity. Underneath is written, “You KNOW it’s a Myth. This Season, Celebrate REASON!”

It’s interesting that this same hostility isn’t displayed against Muslims during Ramadan or towards Jews during their Holy Days.

Apparently the American Atheists are ignorant of the fact that history proves Christ’s birth is not a myth. Jesus is not only the promised Messiah, God born of human flesh, he is the crucified and risen Savior of the World. Over three hundred fulfilled biblical prophecies, corroborated by non-Christian sources and eyewitness testimony are stubborn facts atheists simply pretend aren’t there.

Atheists seem to hold a deep-seated, irrational resentment against Christmas and the joyous message of salvation that it declares. They are apparently too proud to admit their sin and need of a Savior, so they flee to “REASON.” Yet, their atheistic reasoning is so inconsistent and depressing.

I have always wondered why atheists spend money on billboards to try to persuade others of their position if they really believe their own ideology. According to honest atheists, if there is no God logic dictates there is no truth, right or wrong, or meaning.

Yet some atheists are compelled to live as if what they think is true, and that their lives actually do matter. It looks to me like they didn’t read their Nietzsche very closely and can’t live according to “REASON” after all.

Their message is simple — "He Is Coming Again" — and their aim is to get unbelievers to turn around quickly. But critics say the billboards are a waste of time, one more failed attempt to predict the end of the world.

The Rapture is going to be a great day for God's people but awful for everyone else, said Allison Warden, 29, who orchestrated Nashville's billboard campaign. She's a volunteer with WeCanKnow.com, a website set up by followers of Family Radio. She and other fans designed the billboards, along with T-shirts, bumper stickers and postcards to get Camping's predictions out.

Warden traveled from her home in Raleigh, N.C., to Nashville last week to check out the billboards, purchased through the end of the year. She wouldn't say how much they cost or name who paid for them.

She is absolutely sure that Camping's prediction is right.

"It's a certainty," she said.

First of all, the word that is translated “youths” more accurately means teenagers or young adults. Second, the reference to “bald head” probably refers to Elisha’s shaved head in mourning that his mentor Elijah was taken from him (male pattern baldness was not common in ancient times, so this explanation is the most likely). So a group of at least 42 young men is jeering at Elisha’s bereavement, and “go on up” is probably a threatening wish that the same thing that happened to Elijah would happen to Elisha. Elisha is therefore protecting himself by cursing them (and God obviously agrees because he sends the bears). 42 of the young men are mauled (the word can refer to an injury as minor as a scratch). That two bears were able to injure so many indicates that the youths were fighting the bears, and didn’t scatter.

Furthermore, in the ancient world, what were 42 young men doing idle? They should have been helping their families. They were dangerous juvenile delinquents. A modern day equivalent would be finding one-self in a shady, abandoned part of town, and a gang of young thugs starts jeering.

4. Jesus set a good example. Spend most of your time surrounded by like minded people, believers. And only spend a little time around unbelievers.

2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

5. Only mature Christians should spend a lot of time around unbelievers, when they are sharing the good news about Jesus or helping those in need. Sending a young child to an atheist/agnostic/wiccan/new age environment is not only dangerous, it's very likely to have a life long affect on that child's beliefs about Jesus. Children are being PROGRAMMED, and are not in a position to teach other children about Jesus, because sadly, there is more darkness in schools than there is light.

No Christian parent should ever send their child to school, it's too risky, mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. If they are not getting bullied, or sexually molested, they are being programmed and brainwashed with sexuality, body image, Darwinism and Atheism and Witchcraft and Harry Potter Sorcery!
