Let's put it like this: Name one primarily atheistic society in history which has #1 not experience any mass killings in the past few decades and #2 is reproducing on a replacement level.

This is because atheists are either selfish pleasure seekers and/or murderers.

Arguing atheists possess some level of altruism is like arguing that Islam is the "religion of peace".

["all of these people were no doubt raised with (strict) religion... as most were back in those days - i would imagine finding out that its all bullshit one day could push one to over the edge, to varying degrees."]

Nope. It's simple. Atheist = psychopath.

That's the way it is. Like war and peace, honesty and lying. You can't be a little bit chaste just like you can't be a little bit pregnant.

[Jewish commenter on an article on the baning of circumcision in Germany]

Will you pay if one or all your boys want to be circumcised? You should as it was your FU.....what happens when they can't get laid, except by some tramp that sleeps with uncut guys?

If I had a daughter she would be taught, first never to date or marry outside her people and secondly if she did only circumcised males.

Quote# 88132

We agree that presuppositional apologetics is the ultimate biblical approach to apologetics. The common accusation that the presuppositionalist uses circular reasoning is actually true. In fact, everyone uses some degree of circular reasoning when defending his ultimate standard (though not everyone realizes this fact). Yet if used properly, this use of circular reasoning is not arbitrary and, therefore, not fallacious.

Contrary to what your non-Christian friend said, circular reasoning is surprisingly a valid argument. The conclusion does follow from the premises. Circular reasoning is a logical fallacy only when it is arbitrary, proving nothing beyond what it assumes.

We plan to fire the liberals in our company

We have a small production office and after today's decision by those putrid traitors on the SC. We will fire our obama-worshiping employee. Hey, it's not my fault. WE CAN'T AFFORD HIM now after the decision. I hope for the worst on those scums on the SC and this POS p-resident.

(A libertarian fundie for a change)

A rejection of health care egalitarianism, namely a recognition that the wealthy will purchase more and better health care than the poor. Trying to equalize health care consumption hurts the poor, since most feasible policies to do this take away cash from the poor, either directly or through the operation of tax incidence. We need to accept the principle that sometimes poor people will die just because they are poor. Some of you don’t like the sound of that, but we already let the wealthy enjoy all sorts of other goods — most importantly status — which lengthen their lives and which the poor enjoy to a much lesser degree.

I believe, as time goes by, people over the age, of say, 70, will not get to choose. They will be denied ICU stays, operations, dialysis, surgery, etc. They will slowly be led from "right to die" to being put down; and eventually everyone who isn't working and paying X amount of taxes will be denied medical care and killed.

You have a baby with a disability? You're on the hook for all medical expenses; insurance won't pay, because you "should have put it down". Same with elderly and disabled. If you can't pay, they don't get medical care and die.

I also imagine "mercy killings" will become less aggressively prosecuted; until it's pretty common knowledge you can "take care" of a troublesome caregiving issue on your own with no legal repercussions.

I thank God every day my husband is healthy. I thank God I have him, and he me.

It's going to be a very dark and awful place for people with disabilities. I pray we are raptured first.

What is the best prediction of the outcome in the ObamaCare decision expected to be issued Thursday, June 27, 2012? 85% of experts predict that ObamaCare will be upheld - can so many experts be so wrong?

Yes, the experts are wrong, and here's why:

* ObamaCare does violate the limits in the Commerce Clause, and it is difficult to overcome that logic

[...]

* 95% of those same experts deny that logic/conservatism advances over time for the same reason technology does

* ObamaCare could have been upheld more easily and quickly than to invalidate it

* virtually all of the "experts" missed the boat, and continue to miss the boat, on Biblical Scientific Foreknowledge. Wrong about that, why would anyone expect them to be right about anything else?

I would rather DIE than accept Obamacare

Health care IS NOT A RIGHT! Nobody has a "right" to the services of a doctor! I would rather DIE than accept Obamacare! This is a DARK DAY! We must FIGHT this attack against LIBERTY!

Your health IS NOT MY PROBLEM. Can't afford to pay for care? Then STAY HEALTHY! It's not that hard! There are two primary sources of health care: Your OWN ACTIONS and your RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD. I mean it. God heals illness when he chooses to. When he chooses not to, then nobody can help you anyway! If you want to supplement your OWN actions by getting the advice of a doctor or using medication, then PAY FOR IT. If you can't, that's sad for you, but you have no right to FORCE ME to pay for you!

6 different types of evolution

Cosmic evolution: the origin of time, space, and matter from nothing in the “big bang”
Chemical evolution: all elements “evolved” from hydrogen
Stellar evolution: stars and planets formed from gas clouds
Organic evolution: life begins from inanimate matter
Macro-evolution: animals and plants change from one type into another
Micro-evolution: minor variations/adapations

First 5 have never been observed, tested or repeated.

Only number 6 *microevolution is science.

You can still believe in the first 5 as your religion/faith though, but they are not science.

Tropical Storm Debby, the only time in history that a 4th named storm has formed prior to July 1st, dumps TONS of water and creates havoc in the southern states. Debby is short for Deborah, the only female judge in the entire Bible - was this symbolic of the continued judgment of the U.S. leadership, an administration almost exclusively filled with small a anti-Christs

Believe it or not, there is an upside to 0bamacare. If the conservatives capture the presidency, and both houses of Congress, then we can force the liberals/socialists/democRATs to buy a Bible, a gun and membership in the NRA. Same principle as 0bamacare.

Wouldn’t we all agree that it’s better to prevent a forest fire, if and when possible, than treat the immense damage in its aftermath?

[...]

“Safe” sex education – or promoting casual sex, while handing out condoms and birth control to kids – is analogous to passing out matches to kids in school, and telling them, “Be sure you play safely with these in the forest and, above all, have fun!”

It’s irresponsible messaging that encourages high-risk behavior at a great cost to families and our entire nation.
