I believe, as time goes by, people over the age, of say, 70, will not get to choose. They will be denied ICU stays, operations, dialysis, surgery, etc. They will slowly be led from "right to die" to being put down; and eventually everyone who isn't working and paying X amount of taxes will be denied medical care and killed.
You have a baby with a disability? You're on the hook for all medical expenses; insurance won't pay, because you "should have put it down". Same with elderly and disabled. If you can't pay, they don't get medical care and die.
I also imagine "mercy killings" will become less aggressively prosecuted; until it's pretty common knowledge you can "take care" of a troublesome caregiving issue on your own with no legal repercussions.
I thank God every day my husband is healthy. I thank God I have him, and he me.
It's going to be a very dark and awful place for people with disabilities. I pray we are raptured first.
