Quote# 89196

Atheism is to believe in the void.

The only true atheists I've seen are when I turn on the evening news and see rapists and murderers. Rapists and murderers hide their tracks so they won't get caught by society. But they don't believe there's an invisible cosmic force seeing what they do in private. Neither do they believe there's any recompense, neither now nor later. Atheism is nihilism.

It is rare to find true atheists, although they are a growing percentage. Atheism eventually leads to mental illness, antisocial behavior and at some point a life of in-the-moment carpe diem, the ultimate expression being selfish criminal activity. And at advanced stages, assault, rape, murder and drug addiction.

It is only when one begins to look at cosmic order and harmony and that the possibility of a Creator exists who will one day bring about justice on our lives here(and after here), that mental healing can occur. And with it, social order and community.

Socially, communism is a perfect example of this breakdown. Stalin's Russia led to state sponsored atheism which bled down to the people, destroying their will, incentive and drive. Even after the fall of the USSR in 1991, the rot of atheism had devolved into oligarchies of former KGB factions, criminal activity and former government thugocracies. The people simply did not have enough God belief culturally to allow them to be honest enough to confront their problems.

Atheism is for losers. Atheism eventually kills and destroys. Ironically, islam is very similar to atheism in that it believes in power only(through submission) and pursuing it in this life via the rise of the Caliphate. Islam believes in State power, which is why the left has joined forces with it. State power, coercion, totalitarianism whether through 'allah' or 'Obama', 'Stalin' or whoever, makes no difference. Faith is not required. Only force.

Thus atheism will always devolve into he who rules by might wins. Take what you want. 'Do what thou wilt' is the whole of the law. Whether by the sword of allah or the kalishnikov of Russia or the vote of one John Roberts upholding the bureaucracy, it is all force against the people that matters against the darkness of the night of the void, the State must come in to bring its imprimatur and assign it as law against heavenly, unseen law. The individual be damned.

I'd probably only vote for an atheist in name only. A real one like Obama or Khalid Sheikh Mohammad or Stalin or Charles Manson would eventually be too much to bear just like body odor is too much to inhale when an armpit is pressed into one's face all day, the smothering of the nanny state and its demands.

"During a recent broadcast of The 700 Club, a woman sent in a question asking why the men she dated always lost interest in her after finding out that her three daughters were adopted from three different countries and not her biological children that come with child support.

Robertson disagreed with a female co-host's gut reaction that it was because they are "dogs" and it is "just wrong."

"No, it's not wrong," Robertson responded. "I mean, a man doesn't want to take on the United Nations."

"You don't know what problems there are," he continued. "I've got a dear friend who adopted a little kid from an orphanage down in Colombia. The child had brain damage -- you know -- grew up weird."

Moss Bluff Elementary School in Louisiana is looking to streamline lunch payments by implementing a palm vein scanner program, but some parents aren't pleased.

A letter to parents this week informed them of the new scanner that will allow the school's nearly 1,000 students to move through the lunch line faster and with fewer payment mistakes -- an issue that had arisen in the past, KPLC-TV reports.

While the letter notes that parents can opt their children out of the program, parent Mamie Sonnier told KPLC-TV that she was angry and disappointed by the program, as the scanner violates her beliefs. She contends that if the scanners actually make it to the school cafeteria, she'll be transferring her kids to another school.

"As a Christian, I've read the Bible, you know go to church and stuff," Sonnier said. "I know where it's going to end up coming to, the mark of the beast. I'm not going to let my kids have that."

[after a bunch of links showing that gay conversion (or cure your gay) camps don't work, followed by some roundabout arguing about science]

Again going back to the Church. Thats not what this is about. Can people just stop persecuting Christians? I know Jesus said it would be bad but geez. Thats not the topic of this discussion. My point was that perhaps you can be an ex-homosexual, and Science hasn't yet discovered that it it is wrong on that issue. If I was a an ex homosexual I would be pretty pissed that I had gone through all that work and people are telling me "it doesn't exist" So what, someone can become a homosexual later in life but it can't go the other way.

Hank Williams Jr. reprised his role as a fiery anti-Obama blowhard on Friday, telling fans at a concert that the president was Muslim and anti-American.

The statement came near the end of a concert at the Iowa State Fair Grandstand. Williams Jr.'s comments were first reported in a review by Des Moines Register reporter Joe Lawler.

According to Lawler, the show was relatively free of politics until the end, when Williams Jr. made the following claims: "We've got a Muslim president who hates farming, hates the military, hates the U.S. and we hate him!"

The comments were apparently met with applause and loud cheers.

Williams Jr. made waves in October 2011, when he appeared on "Fox and Friends" and likened the president to Hitler.

[...]

In a July 2012 interview with Rolling Stone, Williams Jr. doubled down on his particularly blunt brand of criticism of the Obama administration.

"We've got a President that does a call to the Koran or Mecca or whatever," he told the magazine. When asked if he believed Obama hated America, Williams Jr. responded, "I don't know about that but it's kind of obvious. I guess when you take a tour, a world tour, to apologize for America."

Quote# 89158

I started thinking of Marxism as a religion in the 1980s. It has a set of holy books, schisms, revered leaders, an exclusionary attitude toward all other beliefs, fanatic followers who believe they're entitled to win converts by force, its own set of codified moral values, rituals, a hierarchic priesthood of annointed leaders, et cetera. It's since occurred to me it's not a religion, but an anti-religion. Marxism mimics religions in many ways, but considering its only actual purpose is to put and keep Marxists in power rather than improve or uplift the lives of its followers, I've had to refer to it as an anti-religion. Is that a worthy distinction to draw? Is that quibbling, or a significant difference?

I started to doubt the purported "science" behind so-called "anthropogenic global warming" almost as soon as I heard about it and saw the proposed "solution." Carbon dioxide is supposed to be toxic when that's what plants use to generate oxygen? Fossil fuels are going to wreck the planet, so we need governments the world over to take charge of even more aspects of our daily lives? It sounded like a con, a scam, a hustle, an elaborate pseudo-scientific lie—which is what it's turned out to be, of course.

Is AGW a religion, or a cult within the Marxist anti-religion? Is self-styled "environmentalism" actually a whole and complete belief system in and of itself? Much as Germany's numerous, well oranized nature worshippers of the 1930s jumped on the Nazi band wagon, I have a hunch "environmentalism" or "greenism" is more like a cult than a whole religion or anti-religion. If it's not a cult, would it add clarity to regard it as a sub-set of Marxism or a Marxist front that masquerades as a respectable ideology? It seems to me "environmentalism" supports Marxism in an indirect way: collective "thinking" and tyranny are the goal, and the fake "scientific" means is almost interchangeable with Marxist fake "history" and fake "scientific socialism."

I doubt I'll ever understand why so many people embrace lies when facts and genuine scientific hypotheses are so much simpler.

To a Torah-thinking Jew, it is unthinkable to look at a reform rabbi preaching his religion as anything else than a spiritual mass murderer. And joining with him is as repulsive, even more so, than joining with a physical murderer. So if you believe your cause if important enough to join with a spiritual mass murderer, you surely would have no qualms with joining with a physical murderer.

Oh, that's right, silly me, most of the synagogue members also vote for Owebama. It gives me the creeps just driving by imagining it. God help us.

Quote# 89113

I was talking to a couple of people a few weeks ago and they told me, "I only believe what I see and feel and what science tells me".

I said, "science used to say that the Earth was flat, and the Bible said it was round". That usually stumps them every time.

And I show them the fallacy of they only, "believe what they can see". I tell them they had faith that when they came into our building today, they faithfully thought, through no proof, that the building would stand while they were in it. That they had faith, in a builder of the building, they have never met, to have designed and built a building that would stand when they always needed the building to stand. Faith in an unknown/unseen creator.

One guy said, but it was still standing and I said that the people in Haiti said the same thing the morning of the earthquake and found that their faith in the buildings standing while while they were in it, were not justified. And their faith in a building they could see, was misplaced.

They had no comeback. Not even weeks later.

I showed a woman in the group one of WOTM "good person" tracts, and she said, "at least I have not killed anyone". And I asked her if she was sure, because God's standard is that, if you hate someone, you have murdered them. She was shaken when I explained God's standards and how they were not human standards.

I plant seeds all the time.

Several GOP lawmakers questioned new proposed student standards and tests that delve deeply into biological evolution during a Monday meeting of the Interim Joint Committee on Education.
In an exchange with officials from ACT, the company that prepares Kentucky's new state testing program, those lawmakers discussed whether evolution was a fact and whether the biblical account of creationism also should be taught in Kentucky classrooms.
"I would hope that creationism is presented as a theory in the classroom, in a science classroom, alongside evolution," Sen. David Givens, R-Greensburg, said Tuesday in an interview.
...
Another committee member, Rep. Ben Waide, R-Madisonville, said he had a problem with evolution being an important part of biology standards.
"The theory of evolution is a theory, and essentially the theory of evolution is not science — Darwin made it up," Waide said. "My objection is they should ensure whatever scientific material is being put forth as a standard should at least stand up to scientific method. Under the most rudimentary, basic scientific examination, the theory of evolution has never stood up to scientific scrutiny."

While evolutionists argue that there are examples of "bad design" in the bodies of many organisms, such as "flaws" in the human spine and sinus system, evolutionists fail to realize that, by their own theory, natural selection should have removed these things! The simpler explanation, that these represent degeneration from an original, created perfect form, is the superior one. In other word, as CreationWiki notes, such "flaws" are actually "a result of deterioration, resulting from Man's Fall."

The controversy over Chik-fil-a CEO saying they do not support glbt marriage just shows who the real bigots are. The leftist/liberal/glbt people who don't believe that people should have the freedom to disagree with them. Their temper tantrum mentality of throwing a fit every time someone exercises their freedom of speech shows that THEY are the real bigots. They want us to live under a fascist dictatorship (no matter who gets the presidency in November we will be there. Sooner if Obama is re-elected)where no one has the freedom to have an opinion contrary to so-called popular opinion. Remember pollsters that espouse a liberal agenda pick areas that will support their agenda not areas where they will get low results. Pollsters that espouse conservative views tend to be more honest than liberals.

The liberals need to stop using terrorist/ Muslim tactics to get their way.
the glbt community needs to stop trying to force others to espouse their viewpoint. When glbt people try to force their opinion on those that disagree it proves that their agenda is not good for all people. It is only good for a minority of 8-10 percent.

A child whose brother and sister were found bound and blindfolded in a Walmart parking lot told an investigator that the family believed her younger siblings and their Illinois home were possessed by demons, a police officer testified Tuesday.

The children were discovered tied up and with duct tape over their eyes in June outside the store in Lawrence. Their parents, 44-year-old Deborah Gomez and 52-year-old Adolfo Gomez Jr., are charged with two counts of child abuse and five counts of aggravated child endangerment.

Lawrence police Officer Hayden Fowler testified at a preliminary hearing to decide whether the parents should stand trial. Fowler testified that an older daughter said the family was going to try to cast the demons from her 5-year-old brother and 7-year-old sister.

Fowler said one of the children told him that the family believed there were demons in their Northlake, Ill., home and outside their vehicle in the parking lot, and that the family had recently watched online videos about demons and “a fallen angel.”

Fowler testified that one of the older children told him the younger siblings had been tied up because the family believed that “demons had overtaken their bodies.” He said the child told him that duct tape was placed over their eyes to protect them from demons.

The older daughter said they were going to attempt to cast the demons out of the younger children but did not say how they planned to do that.

He said the daughter told him “if the demons were to die (the children) would die also.”

When the two younger children were discovered at the Walmart lot, their three older siblings, ages 12, 13 and 15, were inside the vehicle but not restrained. The five children have been placed in protective custody, and their parents remain jailed on $50,000 bond.

I kid you not when I was at Fort Sam Houston there were Pagans/Wiccans asking to be allowed to practice their faith, or lets just call it what it is, Satanically driven attempts to further attack and undermine Christianity and the Unites States Christian origins. I also have to agree that if this were some special Christian site, then the ACLU would have been all over it like white on rice. This is also something that sticks in my craw about atheists. They say they don't believe in any fairy tales and or supernatural forces, BUT they only seem to come out of the wood work attacking Christianity. Coincidence? I think not! I'm actually not sure what Pagans and Wiccans believe when it comes to the origins of the Earth and the people and animals in it. I've had so many people I have been acquaintances with in the past try to recruit me for lack of a better word. "You have a very powerful light inside of you." was one comment that one made to me. Most of them talk over and over again about getting back at people, and casting spells on people who have wronged them. I have one friend who was a pagan; or whatever the favorite term of the month is, who had a "spirit guide" and asked said spirit guide to show its true self to him. After he got a good look he forsook the paganism and became a born again Christian. But never fear we have Hollywood to help us right? They would NEVER do anything to help foster the idea that this stuff is cool right? Not so much.
