Quote# 111634

The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners had always opened government meetings with Christian prayer. About two months ago, officials decided that in order to avoid legal trouble, they’d have to let everyone participate.

That didn’t last long.

On Monday, commission chairman Carrol Mitchem, who had previously announced he wouldn’t “bow to minorities” and that he “ain’t gonna have no new religion or pray to Allah” at board meetings, held true to his word and walked out on the first person to address the North Carolina government meeting with a Muslim prayer, the Lincoln Times-News reports.

“That was very upsetting. It was upsetting,” Dustin Barto of the Foothills Interfaith Assembly, who had led the Muslim prayer, told WSCOTV.

By the end of the meeting, all prayer was banned at board meetings and will be replaced with a moment of silence. Commissioner Alex Patton initiated the motion which was easily voted into effect.

“To me, the final straw was when our chairman got up and walked out,” Patton told WSCOTV, adding that the commission needs to focus on pressing matters like the economy and education.

The issue of prayer at the meetings had generated months of controversy, the station reported.

Previously, Mitchem had vowed to keep Christian-only prayers at the meetings.

“I don’t believe we need to be bowing to the minorities,” Mitchem had told WBTV. “The U.S. and the Constitution were founded on Christianity. This is what the majority of people believe in, and it’s what I’m standing up for.”

The issue came up after nearby Rowan County was ordered by a federal judge to stop opening public meetings with sectarian prayer because it violated the Constitution.

“I don’t need no Arab or Muslim or whoever telling me what to do or us here in the county what to do about praying. If they don’t like it, stay the hell away,” Mitchem had responded. “We’re fighting Muslims every day. I’m not saying they’re all bad. They believe in a different God than I do. If that’s what they want to do, that’s fine. But, they don’t need to be telling us, as Christians, what we need to be doing. They don’t need to be rubbing our faces in it.”

Islam is one of the three Abrahamic religions and does, in fact, adhere to the same God as Judaism and Christianity, Jibril Hough, spokesman for the Islamic Center of Charlotte, pointed out.

“If you don’t believe the rights of the minority are equal to the rights of the majority, then you are against what America stands for,” Hough told the Charlotte Observer. “That’s why we live in a democratic republic.”

[Apparently the "Liberal Version of the 23rd Psalm"]

The government is my keeper, I shall not want.

It makes me lie down in a field of handouts.

It leads me beside fellow dependents.

It restores my benefits.

It leads me in the path of entitlements for its name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of work,

I will fear no job for the government is with me;

Its handouts and entitlements comfort me.

It prepares a table before me in the presence of working taxpayers;

It anoints my checkbook with subsidies;

My pockets overflow.

Surely income redistribution shall follow me all the days of my life,

And I will be shackled by government dependence forever.

You yourself seem to be extrapolating this beyond sanity as well. I suppose you also believe that all the laws of the universe, as well as evolution just formed on their own?

Actually, the scientific method is just as bunk as the archaeological methodology you hate. Example being that you fools believe that simply because your own egos cannot "prove" something by "evidence", then it simply can't be true. You also seem to believe that our scientific knowledge is the actual universe itself rather than the organised body of knowledge, suppositions, etc. that the human race has developed through trial and error.

Enjoy the time you have left.

But teen pregnancy, in itself, is not such a bad thing. By the age of 18, a young woman’s body is well prepared for childbearing. Young men are equally qualified to do their part. Both may have better success at the enterprise than they would in later years, as some health risks—Cesarean section and Down syndrome, for example— increase with passing years. (The dangers we associate with teen pregnancy, on the other hand, are behavioral, not biological: drug use, STD’s, prior abortion, extreme youth, and lack of prenatal care.) A woman’s fertility has already begun to decline at 25—one reason the population-control crowd promotes delayed childbearing. Early childbearing also rewards a woman’s health with added protection against breast cancer.

Younger moms and dads are likely be more nimble at child-rearing as well, less apt to be exhausted by toddlers’ perpetual motion, less creaky-in-the-joints when it’s time to swing from the monkey bars. I suspect that younger parents will also be more patient with boys-will-be-boys rambunction, and less likely than weary 40-somethings to beg pediatricians for drugs to control supposed pathology. Humans are designed to reproduce in their teens, and they’re potentially very good at it. That’s why they want to so much.

Teen pregnancy is not the problem Unwed teen pregnancy is the problem. It’s childbearing outside marriage that causes all the trouble. Restore an environment that supports younger marriage, and you won’t have to fight biology for a decade or more

Giants existed prior to and after the flood. The cause of the giants prior to the flood was the same cause that caused them to exist after it as well. God did not bring the flood strictly to wipe them out. He did it primarily because all of the earth was wicked - every human being, all of it's culture was exceedingly wicked, and God would not allow the entire history of mankind to be as it was prior to the flood.

Quote# 111622

Atheism is the least intellectual idea ever produced by a human, and requires a person to be in denial of a large percentage of the accrued knowledge of mankind.

Atheists believe the universe is the only exception to the fact that all things have a cause, that an explosion produced astonishing order ultimately producing rock soup which came alive resulting in Michaelangelo, Beethoven, and space probes. Logical, scientific stuff if I ever heard it! Those atheists are so smart!

Evolution is disproven by millions of facts, such as the fact that polymerase is a product of it's own translation, which proves Special Creation.

Over 100 yrs ago, Evolution Theory was plausible for true naturalists because of their rejection of God. Biological science was rudamentary and archaic, and provided no information about the operations of the cell. Modern biology has very greatly changed what is known of genetics and biology. It has been discovered that life is based upon information which is digitally encoded and stored in a more compressed form than man's best computer technology. compression schemes. It possesses thousands of 3-dimensional information hierarchies directed to the cell. When the DNA molecule is supercoiled as chromatin, much of it's information is available to the cell which is not available when the molecule is uncoiled, and vice versa. Genetic information when read by the cell's machinery in one direction produces different information than when it is read by the cell's machinery in the other direction. This feature of design alone is so far superior to man's computer software that it is not currently possible for us to conceive how this could have been done while making all of it's information relevant and critical to the organism. It's individual information sequences are overlapping and nested sharing nucleotides between sequences across the entire molecule. It's sequences across the entire 7 ft. long molecule are organized to conform to linguistics laws which go beyond Zipf's law of Linguistics. It contains codes built upon codes which regulate the use of each other. A recent discovery is a code which lies upon codes for proteins, sharing it's base pairs, and regulates how to express those sequences for proteins. If we liken the mechanical funtions of the protein machines of the cell as it interacts with DNA, then the operations mirror the human language properties of phonetics, semantics, syntax, and grammar, and punctuation. The information input and output processing of DNA includes the analytical operations of proofreading, information comparison, cut, insert, copy-and-past, backup and restore, all of which operate by algorithmic operations which possess "if" and "when" statements, just like computer programs. Information, algorithms, and linguistics are all immaterial nature has no potential to produce them. They are products only producible by a mind. During the organism's development, the genetic information instructs the cell on how to turn on and off, like chemical light switches, many sequences of information of the DNA in a supremely complex and yet to be understood orchestral arrangement of various groupings and orders so as to build the structures of the organism. These patterns of genes being switched on and off is so complex that man will likely never be able to decipher it. Science has disproven evolution and proven that life was created. If you want to believe in evolution because you refuse to acknowledge the existence of our creator, nobody can stop you. But doing so is to be a denialists of the discoveries of modern science - things which the outdated concept of Charles Darwin over 150 yrs ago could not have predicted. Believing in evolution today is as antiquated as it was to believe that flies arose from meat or frogs arose from mud a century prior to Darwin. Today's evolutionists are hold-outs, and will be written of by future historians as the dogmatic denialists they are.

Germany today, after the removal of the Berlin wall, is a cesspool of sleaze, filth and sexual immorality. Sexual immorality became epidemic in East Germany under Soviet control. Feminism thrived. Women had careers. There was an abundance of food and materialism. It was worse than Sodom. Erotic films, public nudity and sexual sins were rampant in East Germany. This is where America is headed... total immorality! The Soviet Union was epitomized by atheism, dirty dancing, sensuality and immorality.

Atheist scientists are liars and hypocrites! They often criticize the religious for "being dogmatic and ignoring evidence" yet that's exactly what they do when faced with the evidence of GOD/God-incarnate, intelligent design, purpose, the after life/reincarnation, nonlocal cause-and-effect, and extraterrestrial visitation.

The 1st part of Seal #1 is...

"The Big Bang/Bit Bang (a supermassive white hole) 13.8 billion years ago was the result of a supermassive black hole in another universe. Our universe & that SBH share the same event horizon. That SBH & SWH formed an Einstein-Rosen bridge (wormhole). This duality combines these two singularities in a birth-life-death-rebirth cycle within The Conglomerate of universes (multiverse). This 'simple' cause-and-effect explains infinite space and eternity. Self-replication is the simplest plan for everything from a cell to a universe to a mind."

Earth is ~4.567 billion years old. Humans appeared about 2 million years ago. Every human has a common ancestor - the mitochondrial DNA 'Eve' - who lived ~200,000 years ago. About 6,000 years ago, the extraterrestrial 'God-guy' appeared in the Tigris-Euphrates River Valley. He cloned himself to produce Adam and then cloned Adam to produce Eve. These three most important souls and their offspring then interacted with the humans East of Eden, they were reincarnated over-and-over again, and the rest is his-story.

Quote# 111613

The cultural embrace of the iconic gogrrl careerist femborg isn’t just a feminist and equalist rallying cry; one will often hear cuckservatives mouth the very same “encourage our young women to succeed in the workforce” platitudes that animate their supposed ideological opposites.

And now mothers. If the denial of human nature is a barometer of societal illness, then the wholesale acceptance and advocacy of the careegrrl lifestyle by mothers forecasts the arrival of some seriously inclement weather.

Platitudes like “don’t rely on a man for money” have a way of gripping less agile minds and taking hold for life. Superficially, it sounds sensible; one may convince oneself, “if men won’t commit and ‘man up’ for women, then women should take the necessary precautions against indigence and establish self-sustainable careers for themselves.”

The problem with this simplistic formulation originates in the faulty premise that men and women are alike in all ways but the genitalia. This flawed premise allows for the psychological projection of the female-specific predilection for receiving material support onto men; it tacitly assumes, in other words, that women are as comfortable providing for themselves (and for others) as men are, and that men will promptly abandon their intrinsic role as resource providers as soon as women agree in principle or practice to be dependent upon men.

The core plank of modern feminism — careergrrl empowerment — rests on a horrible misunderstanding of human, and especially male, nature. It’s a misunderstanding, deliberate or deluded, that follows from an arid, de-sexualized, transactional view of relations between men and women.

“If/Then” algorithms are shaky substitutes for human sexual market feedback loops. While transactional analysis of human behavior has some usefulness as a predictive model, it quickly reveals its limitations when we draw comparisons between the decision-making processes of the sexes. An error in thinking of this magnitude will result in wrong conclusions like the one above: That men are as fickle and uncertain about providing for women as women are about providing for men, and therefore women ought to ensure their own economic self-sufficiency.

The reality is much different once we account for continuously operating SMP feedback loops. The vulnerable unemployed or underemployed young woman arouses the natural instinct in men to provide for her and protect her against hardship. As long as she has the requisite physical attributes to catch men’s eyes, there will be more than enough (white or asian) men happy to share their hard-earned material abundance with her in implied exchange for her sex and love and fidelity.

This is what feminists, cuckservatives, and Narrative-soaked social scientists don’t get about the sexes: What one sex may do in response to a given stimulus is not necessarily what the other sex would do. Men possess a moral sense, (or a character trait, if you prefer less loaded language), that compels them to provide generously for pretty young women who prove their sexual loyalty and low partner count. Women don’t have this moral sense, not in the way it is used here. Women are eager to provide many things to the men they love — most of all their bodies — but they aren’t psychologically driven to transfer their own material resources to indigent men the way men are driven to lavish largesse on indigent, comely women. Women may do this when circumstances align just right, but it won’t come from a place of deep personal fulfillment from the act of doing so. It will come from a place, instead, brewing with resentment and confusion.

So, the career tankgrrl’s mom is wrong. Tankgrrl, assuming she has the goods to attract a sufficient number of decent resource-ready men, should rely on men for money, because men are happy, indeed driven as if by some otherworldly force, to give to women for whom they feel intense physical desire and love.

Once Tankgrrl has stopped relying on men for money… once she has traveled far down the road of invulnerable feminist empowerment, leaning in the whole way… she should not be surprised to find that fewer and fewer men along each mile marker are waiting and willing to give to her what she has already given to herself.

Feminism, in this way, becomes a self-fulfilling whine. The more feminist a woman gets, the more men will retreat from her, and the more her feminist man-hating will seem like the appropriate response to her romantic failures.

There will be exceptions, of course. There always are when human nature is the topic. Ugly or old women may really have no choice but to become financially viable on their own, and for them a healthy society recognizes their need of taking the “feminist” path. But a healthy society would never elevate those exceptions to a 24/7 propaganda blitz, insisting that every woman follow the same life script as those poor unfortunate souls who have no choice in the matter.

As always, it comes down to exalting beauty, rejecting ugliness, and living not by lies.

Quote# 111612

The goal of feminism is thus the destruction of the feminine in women and of the masculine in men. Feminism as an ideology seeks the annulment of sex-based distinctions and dichotomy, to be replaced by an androgynous slop that vulgarizes women and enfeebles men, and is at its heart dehumanizing.

Brief historical aside: The origin of American feminism as an organizing principle goes back to the 19th century, although there were rare, individual (European) women who lived well before then authoring proto-feminist books, and probably not coincidentally, these women were usually ugly and/or forced by circumstance to provide for themselves.

...

As the wealth disparity between the mass of beta male providers and the fat cats grew, women began to feel insecure that marriage to the average joe would save them from a life of penury. It was from this seed that the feminist “careergrrl” movement germinated, and it was this seed that the proto-globalist cosmopolitan fat cats wanted so eagerly to plant, to enlarge their customer base and divide families against themselves.

Whatever righteousness there could be found in the ideology’s original intent, feminism regressed rapidly (in nation-state life-cycle times) to a twisted, brutish, stupid dogma, that today has reached its inevitable nadir in campus rape hoaxes, Title IX, and fat acceptance, among many other bizarro world feminist social incursions that blatantly defy human nature. Inevitable, because as with all leftist missions, satisfaction from earlier victories only encourages more bloodlust, and the course of conquest always ends in desolation when the last enemy of the movement has been picked clean to the bone.

So we have as explanations for the rise of feminism affluence, wealth and income inequality, and decadence. To this we can add out-breeding, the marriage pattern among White Europeans (and, later, Americans) that split cousin-marriage kinship ties and created evolutionary selection pressures leading to a people with a high degree of trust and out-group altruism. Taken to extremes, this characteristic feature of Whites, genetically embedded for maximum staying power, promotes the beliefs and consequent social policies of “gender egalitarianism”, which is nothing less than the total rebuke of the existence of natural, organic, and psychologically healthy sex-based differences in mind and body.

Feminism is lies, ugliness, and malevolence, and that is why it must be opposed by any shiv necessary.

Quote# 111610

Our Gods are not doormats. They start off loving us with indescribable intensity, but if we refuse to respond to that love in the way that They want us to, that intense love morphs into a terrifying wrath. In the Old Testament, Yahweh described Himself as divorcing His adulterous wife—all of those people who He had given so much spiritual illumination to only to have them utterly reject Him. Our Gods are not codependent. They don’t need us to like Them. They delight in taking care of us, but They can just as easily delight in torturing us if we refuse to submit to Them. These are not human beings we’re dealing with, They are alien Beings who operate from a very different perspective than we do. The whole idea of eternal torment seems utterly extreme and unreasonable to us, but that’s hardly surprising considering how little we understand about the way our Gods love. While we struggle to forgive a single person for just one malicious act, our Gods delight in showering mercy down on the heads of countless vile sinners. Before we start beefing about the unfairness of God’s wrath, we need to acknowledge how unreasonable His mercy and love are. No way do we deserve as many chances as our Gods give us. If we’re going to please Them, we can’t pick and choose what aspects of Them we’re going to acknowledge and accept. Our Creators are boundless love and boundless wrath. They delight in both mercy and revenge. It’s on us to decide what kind of thrill we’re going to be to Them. If we submit to Them and embrace our place as Their dearly loved creatures, we will experience Their wonderful side. They’ll put us through tough stuff, but always with the end goal of improving the quality of our existence. But if we defy Them and reject the wonderful invitations They extend to us, then we’ll end up trapped on Their terrifying side for all of eternity. It’s so incredibly foolish to war against Beings who control every aspect of your existence. We didn’t choose to start existing, and we can’t choose to uncreate ourselves. We will be as long as our Creators want us to be.

Quote# 111609

To try to get our minds around how our Gods view us, we have to start at the very beginning and realize how extremely personal our existence is to Them. We are each Their intentional choice. We are each Their unique creation. To say “we belong to God” doesn’t come anywhere close to describing how completely owned we are by our Creators. We aren’t just creatures who They stumbled across one day and decided to take over. We only exist because They brought us into being. We’re more than just Their possessions, we’re like extensions of Them. Just as a human writer can invent a character in her mind, write a story about him, then delete that file and cause that character to unexist, our Gods control every aspect of our beings. We are being literally sustained by Them every moment. They could uncreate us all with a single thought and we wouldn’t even be aware that we no longer were. That goes way beyond simply owning someone.

The more we understand the unique position that our Creators are in with us, the more rational Their extreme reaction to us becomes. Yahweh explodes with jealous fury as we soak in the glory for the things He has done. Well, of course He does—how obnoxious is it for creatures who can’t even sustain their own existence to act like they accomplished anything on their own? Jesus demands that we submit to Him as our God and Master. Well, yes, considering that Jesus is holding our molecules together, it’s more than a little obnoxious for us to downplay His supremacy over us. The Holy Spirit is outraged when we pray to beings other than our three glorious Creators. Well, yes, considering that They are the Ones holding all things together, it’s a bit much for us to be icing Them while we credit other creatures and figments of our imagination for taking care of us in life.

[On the GOP failing to defund Planned Parenthood]

Of course, given the treacherous record of the GOP quislings, the cloud of sincerely well-intentioned witnesses being stirred against the hardness of heart inevitably engendered by Planned Parenthood’s promotion of evil will probably turn out to be a deceitful fog generated by the GOP’s quisling leaders to obscure their continued complicity in the regime of lawless, anti-constitutional edicts that purports to legalize that evil, licensing those who practice and promote it. Like so much else in the increasingly depraved legal and political culture engendered by the elitist faction’s twin party sham, this smacks of the self-idolatry that motivates the elitist faction’s implacable war against God.

Judgment from God may have already begun, and God always starts with His people, in this case, those who "name the name of Christ." Numerous primarily and solely black churches near and around and throughout the country have burned recently. Some by lightning strikes, others by electrical wiring shortages, another by a black racist arsonist and via undetermined causes.

FBI agents conducting investigations have stated that the remaining burned churches did not happen as a result of arson. When pressed farther, an agent offered "spontaneous combustion" as a possibility. Could it be that God has removed his hand of protection from these 100, 120, and 130 year old churches? Could it be that God was so unhappy about these churches, their leadership and membership supporting the most ardent sodomy and abortion-centric president in U.S. history?

During his visit to Kenya last month, President Barack Obama pressed leaders to accept the homosexual lifestyle and same-sex "marriage."

[...]

Such attempts by Obama, says Dr. Richard Land, president of Southern Evangelical Seminary, only further a perception that Americans are "morally degenerate."

"I think it just reinforces in the minds of many more traditional-minded folks in Africa that the United States has gone politically correct to the point of having lost our moral compass and lost our moral way," Land tells OneNewsNow. "And it just sort of feeds into the perception that we are morally degenerate."

As for the president's continued attempts to impose his pro-homosexual agenda domestically, Land emphasizes that elections have consequences.

"In my opinion, President Obama being president of the United States is in itself a judgment of God on the United States – that a God who disposes and proposes has allowed him to become president because of our moral profligacy," the seminary president states.

Quote# 111601

[Someone attempting to debunk this webpage http://www.evilbible.com/common_lies.htm]

CTS- Common Lies Christians Tell
Ok, a few apparent lies that Christians tell. For the sake of being thorough I'll go through all of them, even the ones mentioned in the introduction. Before I begin, I'd like to make a point about lying. A lie is defined as "a false statement with deliberate intent to deceive". This means that Charlotte is accusing Christians of, completely on purpose, deceiving everyone that they discuss the following topics. That is one large accusation. I would contend that most, if not all, Christians don't fully understand the Einstein, Darwin, or American topics. Now I'll begin the explanations.

Einstein

This is a hotly debated issue. I'm not sure whether or not there is enough evidence to say it one way or another, but there are two basic conflicting views. Richard Dawkins (wrote "The God Delusion") sees Einstein as a pantheist, which he goes on to say is basically "sexed-up" atheism. He believes Einstein's use of the word 'God' was always used only in a poetic and metaphorical sense. On the other side of the issue, Susan Wise Bauer (wrote "The Well-Trained Mind") doesn't try to portray Einstein as a Christian, but argues that Einstein believes in one god and had a tendency toward deism. This view basically portrays God as a universal clock-maker, who winds everything up and then lets it tick without interfering. So those are the differing views, I'll post a few links below so you can see both sides. What we can say about Einstein is that he absolutely believed in the existence of Jesus as a historical figure. He also believed that religion and science can cooperate, they are not in contention.

Evidence for Jesus's Existence

First of all, the Bible is absolutely reliable as a historical document. Archeologists frequently discover artifacts that confirm the events recorded in the Bible. For a video on these findings click here. The writings of Josephus, a Roman citizen who lives from c. 37-100 wrote about Jesus. He calls him "a wise man, if indeed it is appropriate to call him a man", and says that he performs paradoxes and won over many Jews and Greeks. He even calls him the Christ. In a later writing, he also calls James the "brother of Jesus, who is the Christ". Many other early scholars reference "Christus", a Latinized Greek translation of the Hebrew word "Messiah". Justin Martyr mentioned an "Acts of Pilate", a record of some cases Pilate was involved in, but only Tertullian also mentions this. The evidence for the Bible and Jesus's historicity is to numerous to do more than touch on, so look around for yourself.

Darwin Recanted on his Deathbed

I don't believe this to be true. There is very little evidence for this. This story became popular when it was preached by an evangelical woman named "Lady Hope". She may have visited Darwin, but if she did it is most likely that she did so around 7 months before his death. At this point in time he would not have been bedridden as she had said, and therefore was unlikely that he was studying the Bible then. As Charlotte said, his daughter opposed this and his wife made no comment on it. It's likely she would have, as she was worried about the "godless nature" of his views. This doesn't rule it out entirely, but it doesn't have the background to be stated as fact.

Evolution is false (or only a theory)

This is an interesting one for sure. I agree that micro-evolution is as close to a fact as you can get with our limited knowledge. All it does is explain the variation we see every day as humans. Charlotte goes on to admit that "macro evolution remains a theory", and then contends that it is a fact (by saying "EVOLUTION DID HAPPEN"). I know a certain line of resources (look to the right) that would contend otherwise, and with scientific observations of their own. The theory of evolution by natural selection is at this point in time filled with far too many holes to be assumed to be a scientific fact. I'm also going to stray away from saying it is a flat-out falsity because of the evidence on the other side of it. Hopefully time will tell, but for now, Christians saying it's only a theory aren't lying.

Atheists Have No Morals

Once again, Charlotte using a statistic to prove her point and does not give a source for it. It is a gross generalization to say that no atheist alive has morals, so I don't agree with this statement. I do, however, take issue with Charlotte's accusations that Christians cause true immorality (genocide, slavery, etc). I've already disproved the slavery point, see here. I've also argued many times that genocide is not often caused by Christians, but when it is there are absolutely not following the Bible's teaching. The only wars backed by God were against societies taking part in extreme immorality (demon worship, human sacrifice, sodomy, etc).

Regarding women's suffrage, the Woman's Christian Temperance Union was one of the most influential groups pushing women's rights. Eleanor Roosevelt, a huge influential leader, was a theist (although not a Christian). The Christians who believed that women should not vote misunderstood the historical context of verses like 1 Corinthians 14.35 and Colossians 3.18. Women do have a different God-given role than men, but that is a different topic.

Back to atheists' morals. The Bible teaches that "the Law is written on our hearts" (Romans 2). This would imply that every person, unless their conscience has been severely fragmented by sin, has a basic moral awareness. Furthermore, many values consistent with Christianity are encouraged in our society. However, an argument exists that atheism, if left unchecked, will cause moral deprivation. If there is no God, there exists no standard for ethics beyond what is helpful for society. When no objective standard exists, it is easier to argue that choices like homosexuality, bestiality, abortion, prostitution, etc can do no material harm to society. In fact, one of the only atheists against gay marriage is Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard, who has been labeled a hypocrite by fellow atheists. Food for thought.

United States Founded on Christianity

Charlotte is correct here, but I'm going to add some perspective. There is no disputing the fact that the majority of the founding fathers and colonists at the time were Christians. This means that America was founded on a number of biblical Christian values (equality, respect, etc). However, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison were all deists. They believed in a generic god, but did not accept orthodox Christianity. Charlotte is correct, one of the principle reasons for the voyage to America was freedom of religion. I've said this before, and I'll say it again: State sponsorship is not conducive to a strong Christian faith. There's no need for Christians to push this idea. This "lie" is likely based on ignorance, not deception, I've not met one Christian who knows the information I just posted above. Atheists, please inform my brothers of this respectfully, there are not lying to you.

There Are No Atheists In Foxholes

You can wikipedia this to understand it. This is meant as an expression, not a statistical fact. The Military Association of Atheists and Freethinkers, which Charlotte referenced, stands against the use of this as a statistic. It's simply meant to show that many people re-evaluate their positions on God's existence when under circumstances of extreme stress. This common idea is backed up by the experiences of people who encounter NDEs, or Near-death experiences. I've posted a link below for some information about atheists in particular who encounter this phenomenon.

Why are people in spiritual hibernation their entire lives? The reason is that the lust for women consumes their heart, brain and all their desire for holiness to the extent that they fall into an abyss of spiritual darkness, tantamount to a cardiac failure on a spiritual level. They feel nothing. They don't feel how blemished they are. The lower they sink, the more they'll have to cry out to Hashem in order to rise up and purify themselves. Only then, will they be able to realize where they are in life and to begin to taste holiness.

You see Christians at war with law abiding citizens do you? And trying to install fascism and suspend the rights of American citizens?

Pretty sure you just described your Muslim president bud. The historical fact of America's founding on Judeo-Christian values is irrefutable. Maybe you should just thank your Christian founders, presidents, legislators and representatives for creating and leaving for you such a great and free country to live in. One that allowed you to grow up to be so amazingly ignorant to historical fact and ungrateful for the very freedom to believe how you wish despite your ridiculous claims that you cannot receive such freedom from the very Christian America you grew up in. Hypocrite.

Oh man, the internet. Shit like “Teal Dear” and “kink shaming.” I am so done.

I was trying to respond to everyone’s comments. I specifically said to scroll down for your answer. Don’t read if you think it’s an off-colored fawn.

For the attention deficit generation: it is tough–and perhaps nigh impossible–to be a(llowed to be) a fully liberated, empowered sexual woman under patriarchy.

And yes, YES! Absolute kink-shaming of the kind of people who go into BDSM in order to abuse others. I never said that is everyone–at all–but that is what under discussion here (which I didn’t even bring up, btw, just responded to, agreeing with what another poster said).

Any of you oh-so-progressives who have bought the left-wing Kool-aid ever think you can shame the shamers? Hmmm? Like, I am not even allowed to give a criticism of the practice of BDSM, including all the rapists in it (and how they like to hide out in it, considering how murky consent issues can become), or the fact that excuse-making for hideously abusive practices makes it difficult to prosecute (mostly men) for domestic violence (’cause, like, someone women are into that)? You know the Supreme Court of the USA (which maybe you don’t live in, but I don’t really care) does not uphold “consent” as a justification for serious bodily injury?

I am not against ritualistic sexual practices that bring communities together, blow off some steam, and otherwise don’t harm anyone. And far from convinced that’s what the BSDM scene is.

We need more kink-shaming. And with that, I am out. This is why I am done with liberalism (not only the paralysis, but the reframing–of the oldest, most conservative stances, such as violence against women–i.e., “sex work” and “BDSM”–as liberal and progressive). It requires us to take something which should be intuitive and subject it to such scrutiny in order to please our liberal masters (yes, the fact that the vast majority of women in prostitution the world over report that they don’t like it should have NOTHING to do with the “sex work” empowerment movement, nor statistics surrounding violence and sex trafficking actually rising in prostitution with the impunity afforded by legalization…which legalizes pimps, madams, and people who are essentially traffickers too, as well as clients, not just the workers themselves…essentially the whole friggin’ industry…but nooooo, can’t start “shaming!” Then I am a SWERF! How long till I become a TERF? Can we somehow work the already painful acronym of BDSM into some-kind of critical-thought-shaming clever newfangled one?).

The left is so corrupt, as evidenced by this shit…it’s painful not only how it’s been so co-opted by those who would seek to uphold the oppression of patriarchal mores (and women’s place as sexual objects and objects of violence), but that it’s happened in the name of “feminism” and right under our noses. But then again, most leftists are the biggest hypocrites (well, along with neocons, right? Pretending to believe in stuff to sucker a voting base)? Man…I am so done with this kind of stuff. “Kink-shaming!” (You mean rapist-shaming? I think you’ll see that’s what I was doing, if you do a careful, high-school level re-read of that paragraph). Blargh.

No one has critical thinking skills anymore, and no one knows how to think outside the paradigm. It’s amazing…

Teal Deer! Teal Deer: It’s okay to criticize sacred leftist institutions like BDSM and the sex industry without being shamed for being a shamer (ha ha ha!). It’s impossible to make strides when the left is so intellectually bankrupt! And, it’s hard to be a sexually liberated woman in society, as much as we might wish it weren’t. We haven’t achieved the fantasy world where it’s possible yet for a woman (or possibly anyone) to be truly sexually liberated and not run into considerable trouble.

Goodbye, all!!! I am still super-sick, with no AC and no fridge and none of your lovely first-world amenities, so I am literally flaming…out.

Quote# 111592

[[Actually, my abortion after my rape did solve a lot of problems. It solved the fact that I was going to kill myself before I stayed pregnant. It solved the disgust and physical sickness I had whenever I thought about it in there growing. It solved my need to not be pregnant. And to this day, years later, I am grateful and happy I had access to the care I needed. So don’t you dare pretend that you are not harming women by taking away their rights to their bodies under false claims. You know what harms women? When they are forced to do something with their body that they don’t want to do. Like when I was raped. Or like what you would like to have done to me by forcing me to carry a clearly unwanted pregnancy for nine months and then give birth.

In my experience pro lifers have two responses to my story- both are disturbing. First, they tell me that an innocent child shouldn’t have to suffer and that I should have chosen adoption. If you can that easily brush off a living, breathing persons depression, brokenness and suicidal thoughts for a fetus, then I really don’t have anything to say to you. You lack any bit of compassion and empathy and that is really sad.

If you do find some bit of empathy and tell me the second usual response, that “oh I make an exception for rape”. That just infuriates me. First, you are admitting that you do not actually care about the “baby” as you claim to. You care about punishing women for consensual sex and that is sick. Second, do you even put any ounce of thought into your little exception that you think is so kind of you? Obviously not because if you did you would know it would be a shit show. Do you know who I’ve told in my real life about my rape? My counselor. That’s it. How would your exception work? Would I have to relive the worst event of my life to police, doctors? Would they be deciding if I was believable enough to get to make choices about my own body? Would they be deciding if what I went through was bad enough to make it acceptable? Would I be proving my right to my own body weeks after it had been taken from me? Fuck that.

My body is mine to decide what I do or do not do with it. I do not have to jump through hoops, or prove my right to it or justify what I do with it to anyone. This is my body. Mine. Stop acting like you have any say in it and stop the bull shit act that you care. You don’t. ]]

nobody would have forced you to kill yourself. the depression and suicide is a personal battle. nobody can force you to do anything
the idea that the baby being a reminder of rape is like the possessions of a loved one who died. if someone dies and their belongings in the area make someone sad, removing those belongings aren’t going to erase the memory of that person or their death. just like how abortion isn’t going to erase the memory of the rape or the fact that it happened. in a way, it’s blaming the child for being associated with the rape.
and yes, it’s tragic when something happens to someone that is unwanted. it’s unfortunate that you were raped. i’m sorry that it happened. but it’s too bad the baby gets the shorter end of the stick on this one.
my response to your story isn’t that you shouldn’t have aborted it. it’s already been done. there’s no point in saying that. the child is gone and what was done can’t be undone.
and yes i would put the life of an unborn child above depression and suicidal thoughts of a person because depression will not necessarily kill someone. people can reach out for help with their depression. it might take years and years but it’s possible to overcome it. i’ve done it. i’ve wanted to commit suicide before many times. but i didn’t because i remind myself that it’s unreasonable to sacrifice life just to satisfy my emotions. nobody forced me to kill myself and nobody forced me to not do it. abortion is like an easy way out of that except the price is someone else’s life. and i make no exception for rape.
your body is yours and yes, you decide what you want to do with it. nobody is stopping you. but getting an abortion in a clinic is not just what you do to your body. someone else has to do it to your body for you. also, with the case of the baby, it’s also the child’s body, not just the mother.
the baby’s body is the baby’s and should not have to prove its right to it. it’s the baby’s body. and i’m not acting like i have any say in it. i truthfully believe everything i say on this matter won’t change anyone’s mind. i don’t have that kind of power and probably never will.
but i do care about the well being of others [yeah right] and my points on abortion were derived through reasoning and morality, not opinion. my contemplation on the issue of abortion shouldn’t define whether or not i have compassion or not. i don’t feel worse for either the mother or the child. i’m looking at this issue from a non-emotional point. i’m looking for the solution that is least damaging.
and so far, the pro-life and adoption duo seems to be the winner.

Fear of rape is what all men use to control all women, whether or not a man would actually consider committing the act himself. Women are supposed to restrict their actions, their speech and their attire all to protect themselves from some out of control male of whom other men disapprove but whom they can't control. How long are women supposed to accept this twisted logic.

Of course these elites live in nice neighborhoods and have their kids in the best schools. While we the peasants should shut up and accept this god given gift called multiculturalism. Worse than multiculturalism is the newspeak term "diversity", including "transabled", LGBT and god knows what. Soon pedophiles or zoophiles will ask for special rights, it's coming. Ironic how two countries with a peaceful reputation like Sweden and Canada are becoming left wing hellholes.

Children are taught that they evolved from the universe (stardust), and their ancestors were apes, and that there is no God. Kids are taught sex education, shown graphic pictures and are provided free condoms to fornicate. In combination with school and today's wicked television and music, the kids are encouraged to fornicate. Courtship no longer exists in modern times. Walt Disney are one of the primary sex offenders, dressing up underaged teen girls as glamour girls, walking and talking seductively, crawling on the floor in promiscuous positions, putting various cameras at just the right angel to catch the girls bending and gyrating for the world to lust upon. You say, “Preacher, you have a dirty mind!” No, I have a man's mind! Walt Disney certainly has dirty-minds, and so do today's kids.

In fact, teens have garbage pails for minds these days, saturated with toilet humor and filthy thinking. And you're a fool if you don't see the harm in what greedy television network owners are doing by exploited lewd, underaged teenaged girls.

I’ve seen this Criss ‘Fallen’ Angel on TV, he’s definitely under the power of S…., to deceive the ‘entertainment addicted’ west. There are actually many more like him that have suddenly appeared in the last 6 months or so, that I have noticed. Sadly, what will be happening to deceive the religious Jews in the east that is equally unbelievable – particularly in Israel in the next 3 – 4 years, is the appearance of the (false) prophet Elijah and messiah whom the Orthodox Jews are waiting for, and they will in fact have allegiance to Is… and are none other than ‘the false prophet and beast’ of Rev 19. The messiah will die somehow around a particular Passover, and the false prophet will resurrected him under the power of S…., he will then stand up in the holy place which is a replay of 1 Kings 17:89,17- 24 – hence the false messiah IS THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION – it is NOT a statue that speaks or comes to life.
Even S…. has the power to resurrect the dead – he is more powerful than we think and knows the Scriptures better than anyone, which we have been kept in the dark about, as well as our pitiful understanding of Is…..
