WASHINGTON – A Libertarian candidate for a Michigan congressional seat is getting some attention for voicing his opinion that age-of-consent laws should be changed to consider the case-by-case circumstances where an adult and a minor are in a consensual sexual relationship.

Tom Bagwell of Wyandotte made his comments Thursday on a Houston TV’s station’s Facebook page beneath a post on a story about a 24-year-old female middle school teacher who has been charged with having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old male student.

In his comments, Bagwell said while “children should be protected,” the “unintended consequences of government action can often cause more harm.” He went onto say that reforms in state consent laws are needed that force prosecutors to “look at each case separately rather than simple hard age cutoffs.”

Another poster on the KPRC2/Click2Houston page, remarked, “Exactly what mitigating circumstances make it OK for a 24-year-old to have sex with her 13-year-old student?”

Bagwell responded, “Hard age of consent laws don't take into account the actual maturity of the child. Some teenagers are able to handle these relationships many can't. If there is actual abuse by all means charge with a crime, but it should not be a snap judgment.”

WDIV-TV (Channel 4) reported on Bagwell’s comments Friday afternoon.

When reached by the Free Press, Bagwell stood by the remarks, noting that according to the reports out of Texas, the teacher and the student not only were in a consensual relationship but that the boy’s parents knew about it, had met the teacher and were supportive.

“My view is simply this: We shouldn’t jump the gun on these issues and automatically go to the worst (scenario),” he said. “Where there is actual consent between the parties, we should look at it on a case-by-case basis to see if coercion was involved.”

It's not that God is trying to keep you from enjoying the pleasures of sex: He's actually trying to avoid destroying you!

"Flee fornication. Every sin that a man does is outside the body; but he that commits fornication sins against his own body. What? know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have of God, and you are not your own? For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." [1 Corinthians 6:20]

The New Living Translation version of 1 Corinthians 6:18 puts it like this:

"Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body."

See, there is another danger to fornication that goes beyond just giving access to demons and evil spirits, as I've mentioned many times before. And just to be clear - over the next few moments I'd like to explain what the danger is. Because understanding this could very well save your life.

When you give your life to Jesus Christ, technically speaking 'you' no longer belong to just you. Your physical body belongs to God too. Which means you are NOT free to do whatever you want with your body any more, like you once did prior to knowing Jesus Christ.

Once you get saved and make an actual confession of Christ being your Lord, you have legally placed your body into His hands. You've entered into a legal contract with God, one that involves your body. It's now HIS body - not just yours. He's gracious enough to allow you to still live in it letting you be caretaker over His body - provided that you honor and respect it by treating it as a holy instrument. But make no mistake about it: your body now belongs to Him.

When you commit fornication, you are basically desecrating the body of Jesus Christ and showing utter contempt for it. You are abusing His holy body!

This would be no different than if you literally spit in His face, or if you were the one punching him and holding the whip that was used to physically rip his flesh open with. You basically might as well just put the crown of thorns on His head yourself!

You might think you're just having a little fun - or catching a quick orgasm - and that no-one is aware of what you are doing. But know for sure that God not only sees you; He's about to do something very unpleasant to you unless you quit and repent!

When we commit fornication, that is the only sin we commit that forces the hand of God to have to physically destroy us.

None of us is so special that we are beyond God's power of judgment. God will never violate His own word nor His holy edicts just to accommodate our desire to gratify our flesh with sin.

Fornication is a very serious act of violation against our holy God. It violates our contract with Him when we confessed Jesus Christ as our Lord.

Fornication is the only sin that virtually guarantees that if we indulge in it, God will be forced to destroy us. He said it clearly in His word:

"Do you not know that you yourselves are God's temple, and that God's spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is holy, and you are that temple." [1 Corinthians 3:16-17]

These were not empty words written to just fill the pages of the Bible with. This is a stern warning that carries serious weight.

We are warned that if we destroy God's temple - our physical bodies - via acts of sexual sin; God will in turn destroy us!

Why do you think there are so many sickly, diseased, afflicted and ill Christians these days - so many Christians suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure, strokes, mental problems, cancers, etc? Has God stopped healing? No, but God always keeps His word and His promises. And He has very clearly promised to physically destroy those that destroy His holy temple.

LET THIS ALSO BE A WARNING TO THOSE OF YOU WHO LOVE TO TEAR UP PEOPLE'S CHURCHES AND MINISTRIES. If you tear up someone's church - know for certain that God will physically tear you up as well, via some type of illness or disease. Maybe even with an early death. This is no joke! So please pay attention to these warnings. Paul warned us many times through His writings of this very thing:

"Anyone who eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord unworthily is guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. That is why you should examine yourself before eating the bread and drinking the cup. For if you eat the bread or drink the cup without HONORING THE BODY OF CHRIST, you are EATING AND DRINKING GOD'S JUDGMENT UPON YOURSELF. Did you catch that??? Paul has warned us that when we disrespect the Body of Christ - including our own bodies which belong to Jesus - we are in essence disrespecting the physical body and His holy blood that was shed to provide us with salvation!

Not even demons are stupid enough to go against the blood of Jesus! Yet this is what we do when we engage in fornication, then turn around and pretend like we honor Jesus by partaking in the Lord's Supper.

And doing this has brought on all types of sickness and physical ailments into the Body of Christ. According to scripture it's even caused God to bring an early death upon some.

We cannot afford to play around with sins like fornication. It's a very dangerous, deadly type of sin; and unlike all the other sins out there.

And just to be sure: fornication is an old English word that comes from an older Greek word "porneia." Porneia is where we get the word pornography from.

Fornication doesn't just mean sex outside of marriage - it also means using your eyes to look at fornication via the computer screen, as well as using your hands and other objects to masturbate with. It all falls under the umbrella of fornication.

Bottom line: when you fornicate you are tempting God to kill you. And that's just stupid. There really is no other way to say it.

"We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died. We should not test Christ, as some of them did, and were killed by snakes." [1 Corinthians 10:8-9]

Snakes in the Bible are also symbolic of demonic spirits - particularly the kind that brings illness and death. If you're struggling with sexual sin in your own life and would like to stop it: today is the day to ask Jesus Christ to take the wheel over your sexual appetite. You need to surrender your will to His will today - and do it fast.

You may not have as much time to get right with God as you think. Satan is a master manipulator and an exceptional liar. He'll have you believing you have plenty of time to stop sinning and getting right with God - while being under threat of destruction the whole time.

Many believers are suffering the pangs of cancers, blood disorders, immune deficiencies, body aches, pains and other physical problems - simply because they won't stop masturbating, watching porn, engaging in sex with others, sexting over the internet, and committing other sexual sins. And their troubles won't stop until they do.

Don't allow lust and sexual pleasures to destroy you! Learn how to gain control over your sexual appetite right away - and live a lifestyle that is holy and pleasing to God.

IOWA CITY, Iowa — A boarding school for troubled teenagers in Iowa that is being investigated by the FBI routinely kept pupils in small concrete “isolation boxes” for days or weeks and wouldn’t let them out unless they sat in a specific posture for 24 hours, according to several former students.

Six former students told The Associated Press about abuse they say they suffered while attending Midwest Academy in Keokuk, Iowa. They said the dark, cell-like punishment rooms were often filled with the sounds of students’ screams and motivational recordings piped in through speakers. Surveillance cameras and staff members kept watch.

“You spend your time pounding your head against the wall. You can’t sleep because there is a lot of noise. A lot of girls like to scream in there. You basically look forward to bathroom breaks and those moments when you can get out of your box,” said Emily Beaman, 17, of Wheaton, Illinois.

Beaman said that after weeks of isolation, she got out in July only after cutting herself with a bottle cap and begging emergency responders to place her elsewhere.

The students, who attended the academy between 2008 and last September, said they and their classmates mutilated themselves, hated the lack of activity and natural light, and lost weight due to small meals. Some said they were scarred by the experience months or years later.

Officers raided the academy Jan. 28 to investigate allegations that a staff member sexually assaulted a student. The investigation has since expanded to other possible criminal activity and abuse. Academy owner Ben Trane didn’t respond to AP interview requests. The academy’s 90 students were removed and it has been temporarily closed. Three students told the AP they had spoken with the FBI.

The first manifestation of this new philosophy in the West was Protestantism, which as Don Felix Sarda y Salvany said, “begets by nature tolerance of error.” I do not say this to be offensive, but descriptive; it was the first manifestation of the feeling that men are entitled to their own opinions on ultimate questions, and ought to be “free” to act in accord with their conscience on these opinions—and that, therefore, authority must yield more or less to individuals’ rights of conscience.

One can see that there is essentially no difference between this and the maxim of Justice Kennedy, which he penned to uphold worthless whores’ rights to murder their children without so much as notifying their husbands, the fathers: “At the heart of liberty is the right to define one’s own concept of existence, of meaning, of the universe, and of the mystery of human life.” I spit upon such damned nonsense; this is literally a carte blanche to do whatever the hell you want. The story of Western Civilization from about 1500 A.D. to the present, is the story of how this absurd idea has played out in successive waves of incoherence and irrationality.

The only limit on this “right to define one’s own concept of existence” is the flimsy protestation that “your rights end where mine begin,” or, put otherwise: “don’t inflict your morality on me!” This sounds good to the person who has not analyzed it critically, but in fact it is a complete impossibility. We all live together in society. Any view that one enshrines as the societal ideal is automatically and inevitably going to inflict itself upon everybody in that society, and will frustrate or contradict their own “concept of existence,” to some extent.

Indeed, it is a wildly tyrannical idea, because it is tantamount to saying that everyone who does not consider their concept of existence to be totally private, relative and arbitrary, has no right to implement their views in society. Yes, as we see, even Libertarianism advances this radically hegemonic principle, squelching all opinions and beliefs that reject the relativistic premise. For, even to advocate that one should not inflict his moral views on someone else, is already an attempt to inflict one’s moral views on someone else! And in the absence of an objective norm of morality, there is really nothing stopping the Supreme Court from interpreting the Constitution to mean that your right not to bake cakes for sodomites, ends where a sodomite’s right to demand cakes of you begins. That this is even an issue, is proof of the absurdity of our system.

I, for example, believe that there are objective principles of morality, and a moral and rational role for the state; I believe it is absolutely right and just and salutary for society to be run on these principles, and that this means making definite judgments upon certain ideas and behaviors, “inflicting” this system upon everybody. I also believe that I am morally obliged to prefer this system of governance, and to reject a Liberal one.

The Liberal, Libertarian or “Conservative” will recoil in horror; but, they are reacting to the mere candor of my position. The fact, is that their viewpoints also require me to shut up, forsake my dearest religious and moral principles, and submit to a society organized along their preferred principles, which I know to be not only immoral, but also impossible and irrational.

When members of society install a form of specious relativism as their governing principle, they are inflicting their moral view upon me. They limit the scope of my social and moral action; they compel my submission to what they accomplish via their appeal to the mob; they shackle me to the moral drift and societal decline of a state piloted by the demagogued masses. They are denying my moral view that a just, rational and even divine social order should reign over society, and that, far from according “power to the people,”

I should hold the uninformed dissent of infidels and fools in contempt, regarding this latter as the infallible source of civilizational decadence. If they succeed in preventing me from implementing my moral vision and living in the society I would form for myself and others, they have succeeded in inflicting their moral vision upon me. They have nullified my moral and social aspirations. They have compelled me to live in a State where a chimerical relativism bulldozes my sublimer views without scruple.

That’s the heart of all this. Since we no longer believe that the only basis of rights is objective uprightness, and since we no longer orient our society towards this (allowing the masses, instead, to simply assert their whimsies as “rights”), and since we have founded a society based on the irrational attempt to accord rights to this tangled abyss of error, we are doomed to pretend that we are not inflicting ourselves on each other, despite the fact that any set of social norms—even the norm of pretending to reject norms—inevitably inflicts itself upon everyone. Unless we repent, this already bitter crisis will keep playing out to the bitter, bitter, bitterest end.

I used to think people would wake up. Yet most still seem oblivious to the manifest inevitability of “inflicting a view,” despite the steadily escalating clash of moral inflictions in the name of forbidding moral inflictions over five centuries. This has now entered a critical stage, because, having moved on from disagreement about less obvious points like the Trinity and Papal Primacy, sane people are now being asked to acquiesce even to palpably absurd ideas: collusion in sodomy = holy matrimony; Bruce Jenner = woman; up = down; square = circle.

The only thing for it, is to stop worrying about inflicting “a” view, and to start worrying about inflicting the right one. Until men with just convictions no longer fear to take up the sword of a righteous authority, and to smite those who demand the right to dissent from justice and just authority, the West will continue to tear itself apart with a specious and manifestly prevaricating, passive-aggressive, intolerant “tolerance.”

The group has been making radical demands such as declaring the Indian parliament and the posts of prime minister and president unconstitutional.

They also want the authorities to sell fuel at dirt-cheap prices. In their view 40 litres of petrol or 60 litres of diesel should cost just 1 rupee (about 1.5 cents; one penny).

A former Little League coach sentenced to jail time for spanking the bare bottoms of players was apparently following a Christian child-rearing book, the Citizen-Times reports.

Jonathan Shawn Russell, 33, pleaded guilty in a North Carolina court room this week to four misdemeanor counts of assault on a child under 12. He’ll spend 60 days in jail and 18 months on probation.

The victims ranged from 8 to 9 years old at the time of the incidents, the Times reports. Arrest warrants obtained by the paper say he was accused of “pulling down child victim’s pants and his underwear and spanking him on his buttocks multiple times with his hands.”

The assaults happened in 2014 and 2015.

“Coach Russell made me feel hurt,” one child testified. “When he spanked me he made me feel ashamed because my family trusted him. He made my mom feel sad because he didn’t have her permission.”

Russell was influenced by child-rearing advice book, Shepherding a Child’s Heart, written by Pastor Tedd Tripp. He read a passage from the book aloud on the stand that said, “If you fail to spank, you don’t take God seriously and don’t love your child enough.”

One of the children told his mother he was spanked for saying “dang it.”

“I had no words for (my son) that would erase the fear and embarrassment that this man made him feel from this humiliating and sadistic manner,” she testified. “The acts of this man have left wounds that a Band-aid or doctors can’t heal.”

Russell testified he spanks his own children.

According to the Times, the book instructs spankers to remove a child’s pants and tell them how many spankings they will get and why. Afterward, the parents should hug the child and pray with them.

The assaults had a lasting effect on the boys.

“It was a parent’s nightmare,” one mother testified. “(My son) told me he had been assaulted by his coach and that’s why he didn’t want to play baseball anymore … He loved baseball.”

She added, “He doesn’t allow people to hug him,” she said. “In the weeks leading up to this trial, he started sleeping out on the recliner because he was afraid Coach Russell will come and hurt him again.”

There is an important Biblical lesson to be learned from our text verse in Deuteronomy 8:3. God led the Hebrews into a troublesome situation. God led them into hunger. God led them into scorpions and snakes. God led them into draught and a scorching heat. The Holy Bible says that God humbled the Hebrews, by feeding them manna, a coriander flavored dew that settled each morning upon the ground. God met their needs, but did not give them what they wanted. This was a far cry from the garlic, onions, meat and delicacies which the Hebrews enjoyed in Egypt, while laboring as slaves for Pharaoh for 400 years.

The Hebrews were skeptical at first, but then they were overjoyed when God sent Moses to deliver them from bondage, and they saw the ten plagues afflicted upon Egypt. But little did they know that God would lead them from the frying pan into the fire, from bondage into suffering in a desert Wilderness. The Lord did this to train His people, to teach them that there's more to life than eating, drinking and having a good time. God wanted the Hebrews to learn that man needs the spiritual food of God's Word to live by, as much as man needs physical food to live by.

Today, God is still the same God that He was 3,500 years ago. Malachi 3:6 says that the Lord never changes. Hebrews 13:8 says that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. The world changes, and men change, and cultures change, and times change, and seasons change, and philosophies change, and standards change; but God and His Word never change. Amen! The same God Who trained the Hebrews by leading them into hardships, poverty, difficulties and frustrations, does the same thing to Christians today. Just as heat hardens iron into alloy steel, so also does persecution and suffering forge mature Christians. We need hard times and suffering to drive us to our knees and into the Holy Scriptures for comfort, answers and spiritual help.

I am in agreement with you 100%. One thing to consider is "data collection", think of it this way: When the MOB becomes reality there will surely be millions (likely) who are aware of the scriptures and (barring deception) they will recognize the system, and will opt-out. However, through the use of data collection such as palm prints, finger prints, retina scans etc.. the powers to be including the AC will have access to this data and could use it to try to track those who reject the MOB down. It would be pretty easy to take all those who registered for the MOB and their print data and compare it to databases around the globe, and in parsing the data they could determine who is unaccounted for and begin tracking. The system to do those searches would have to be on the magnitude of a "cray", but it could be done. Could be a reality coming near you... Accept Christ today and avoid the mess to come...

The reason the government wants to link man to global warming is because they want money from people to control it. And of course, the earth has actually been cooling for the last 18-20 years...so they changed it to "climate change" instead of "global warming". Of course the climate changes...it always has. Would be very strange if it didn't. The Antarctic used to be a rain forest so I've read. When I was a kid, we were taught that we were going to freeze to death and there would be no food because the winters would last too long...they called it "global cooling". (anything for the government to wield more control over us).

This was a TV show in the 1960s. It portrayed a witch who was married to a normal human. The man was a perfect jerk, and he had to be rescued in every show by the Satanic witch. Spells and occult powers were made to seem cute and interesting. This show did much to break down the Christian home against occult powers. Thousands of Christians watched this show faithfully.

Star Wars--
This show was loaded with Satanic imagery. The hero and the villain were reverses of Jesus Christ and Satan. Yet, I have a Spire Publishing book on my shelf in which the author shows that God ordained Star Wars in order to teach the great truths of the Bible in a subtle way. Never have I seen more insane blasphemy. Spire never withdrew the book or disclaimered it, so I assume they are still proud of it.

Mickey Mouse and the "funny books"--
We have a very old funny book of Donald Duck. In it, Donald uses a divining rod to find water. This kind of thing has been around for many years. The tragedy is that these funny books were never checked by Daddy and Mommy. They thought Walt Disney was their friend. Nothing could be further from the truth. Walt Disney got his start in the lime light by making cartoon teaching films for the US military. He did this to stay out of prison. Disney was up on drug charges in the early 1940s, and the judge gave him the choice of going to prison or working off the offense by making cartoon movies for the Military. This is the man you trusted?

Today, Mickey Mouse is portrayed as a magician who uses spells and occult powers to do violent acts. The alleged happy ending is the thing that fools pabulum sucking saints, and the kids flop down on the floor and are indoctrinated into the Satanic kingdom. Jungle Boy, a story by Kipling, is a classic product of a sick mind of a God hating man. Did you show it to your kids?

All others receive Strong Delusion so that they go 180 degrees in the opposite direction to worship Satan.

The traditions are ALL OF THE WORD OF GOD AND NOTHING ADDED OR REMOVED.

If you add anything to the teaching of the Word of God, or diminish or delete anything from the Word of God, you will become one of the deluded. May I suggest that this is rampant today in Christendom. The worst of this ongoing wickedness are the 200 new English Bibles since the year 1900. Virtually ALL of them add or remove truth from the Bible. The New International Version alone removes one of the names of Jesus Christ way over 1000 times. You better decide if you want to become one of the deluded drunks who bow to the Beast, for your funny bible with deletions is damning.

A man who considers himself a “sovereign citizen” tried unsuccessfully to have the judge overseeing a criminal case against him arrested, West Hawaii Today reports.

William Gilroy was arrested in January after taking part in a protest against driver’s licenses, the paper reports. The protest was dubbed the “Freedom Ride,” after the famous protest during the Civil Rights era when black activists rode buses to protest segregation in the Jim Crow south.

Gilroy refused to show proof of insurance, even though he said he has insurance, because doing so would constitute an “invasion of privacy.”

He told the paper he considers himself an organization,“William Michael Gilroy, American private citizen and international organization.” According to Hawaii Today, that is a common belief among sovereign citizens, a strange subculture whose adherents believe they are above the law because they do not recognize it.

Gilroy directed the bailiff in the court room to arrest the judge, Michael Udovic, but Udovic responded by telling Gilroy he was running the risk of being held in contempt and being arrested himself.

“Mr. Gilroy, I don’t want to throw you into jail,” Udovic said, according to Hawaii Today.

Advocates for the separation of church and state are acting swiftly to scuttle a plan by Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad (R) to flood the state’s 99 courthouses with praying, Bible-reading Christians activists for four days.

The Des Moines Register reported that the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Iowa, the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) and the group Iowa Atheists and Freethinkers have roundly condemned the action as a high-handed attempt to establish Christianity as the official religion of the state government. The plan, they say, is a direct violation of the Establishment Clause of the U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment.

Branstad issued a proclamation earlier this year calling on Iowans to participate in a statewide Bible reading marathon from June 30th to July 3rd that will be held in front of all 99 courthouses in the state simultaneously.

Christian preachers and activists are planning to lead rounds of prayer and Scripture readings — some as frequently as every 15 minutes — as regular Iowans attempt to pay their speeding tickets, finalize their divorces and obtain permits and licenses. The rallies are being coordinated by a number of Christian groups including the Iowa Prayer Caucus, the National Governor’s Prayer Team and the United States Prayer Council.

In his proclamation, the governor urged Iowans to “read through the Bible on a daily basis each year until the Lord comes.”

“The government is supposed to be neutral toward religion,” said Annie Laurie Gaylor of FFRF to the Register.

“Can you imagine the uproar if the governor used state resources to encourage people to go to a ‘God is Dead’ rally or a vigil to review how divisive religion is?” Gaylor continued. “Everyone can see how inappropriate that would be. This is exactly the same type of violation.”

Both the ACLU of Wisconsin and FFRF are reviewing the matter for potential legal action.

The ACLU of Wisconsin told the Register‘s Jason Clayworth that Branstad’s proclamation does not pass the so-called Lemon Test, in reference to the 1971 U.S. Supreme Court Case “named after Alton Lemon, the plaintiff in a case that determined it unconstitutional for Pennsylvania to reimburse private schools for salaries and textbooks.”

The Lemon Test poses three questions:

1. Does the government action have a secular purpose?
2. Does the government action have the primary effect of advancing or inhibiting religion?
3. Does the government action foster an excessive entanglement between government and religion?

If the government action in question violates any of these three questions, it is illegal under the Constitution.

Branstad’s office dismissed the idea that there was anything wrong with staging marathon Christian rallies on public property.

“The governor issues many proclamations that recognize events, activities and different organizations’ causes,” said spokesman Ben Hammes. “Requests come from a broad spectrum of Iowans that reflect the broad diversity of Iowa.”

One of the event’s top organizers, Iowa Prayer Caucus director Ginny Caligiuri, has dismissed the idea of a separate church and state as “a fallacy.” Those rules are in place, she told the Register, to protect churches from government overreach, not the other way around.

The ACLU’s Rita Bettis disagreed, saying, “The governor’s proclamation is frankly outrageous and embarrassing, and inconsistent with our core American and Iowan principles of inclusion and respect of all its people of all faiths, as well as those who are not religious,” Bettis said Tuesday. “Our U.S. and Iowa state constitutions protect from precisely this sort of government overreaching and endorsement of a particular faith.”
