The biggest problem with the men’s rights movement is its failure to see the big picture. For some reason, people think they can separate feminism and gender issues from a larger philosophical problem. This is wishful thinking. It can’t be done.

There’s a reason the feminists latched onto Marxist philosophy like a child to his mother’s teat. It provided them with a philosophical framework – a faith, really – that allowed them to deny the realities of human nature by assigning inequalities to political struggles. There are some truths in Marxism. Political and economic inequalities are real, and often stand in stark contrast to natural inequalities, hence the use of the concept of natural law to strike down privileges of birth and other “accidental” advantages enjoyed by some over others.

Today, however, people fail to see the original intent of these movements. In fact, they have an often inverted notion of them. For example, the idea that a woman should be privileged over a man in hiring preference is more akin to the old notion of nobility by birth than it is to the Founding Fathers’ concept of equality.

In fact, the notion that men and women are equal would have been very strange to even the most radical of Enlightenment thinkers. Yet by mysterious twists of fate (and possibly liberal English resistance to French Republicanism), the feminists have coopted the ideology.

So what we are left with today is a twisted interpretation of what was a flawed philosophy to begin with. Now that Enlightenment and Marxist notions of inequality as a more or less purely political, cultural construct, have been discredited, we are left with an increasingly dysfunctional guiding faith in a fallen god.

Is the key to cling to the old idols, hanging on with eyes tightly shut against the mounting body of evidence that we were wrong, or to accept that we made some mistakes along the way and move on? To me, the latter seems far more reasonable.

But in order to move on, we have to reject all that follows from the errors — not just those things that we personally dislike. So if it turns out that, say, men and women are not by nature equal, then we can’t say we want equality on our terms. Instead, we have to make an effort to learn the truth, and then we can go about accommodating it.

So the real problem is not merely feminism, but the original error, which includes a great deal more than that.

Therefore, if you oppose feminism and its associated evils, the most effective way to fight it is to debunk the false philosophy that supports it. And this means we cannot indulge men who adhere to the same principles, whether they are on “our side” or not.

What it really comes down to is truth vs. error, but because “equality” is such a powerful concept today, it must be attacked head on and by name before people can begin to perceive the error. Hence my recent articles on the subject.

Last year saw the spectacular implosion of the feminist narrative and a huge electoral humiliation for people running on explicitly feminist platforms.

You’d think this would open the way to reforms, and incoming legislators would be proposing to roll back the excesses of feminist legislation. If not on the federal level, at least there would be some states doing so, right?

Wrong.

There has been nothing but deafening silence, and nothing has been done to even rectify the unwarranted blame aimed at college fraternities following the lies published by Sabrina Rubin Erdely in the great Rolling Stone rape fantasy article of 2014.

Instead, the lies actually furthered the agenda, and fraternities are being punished as we speak for what has been proven to be a hoax.

Why on earth can’t MRAs take advantage of this situation? Why can’t they find a sympathetic ear?

The problem lies in the continued insistence on playing the same game by the same rules as the feminists and expecting to finally win despite losing time after time after time.

Let’s start at the beginning. Warren Farrell is called the Father of the Men’s Rights Movement, and I think that’s fair. He sincerely worked for gender equality, starting at NOW over forty years ago. He genuinely believed in this concept of equality, but eventually saw that it wasn’t exactly what feminists had in mind.

Eventually, he published books proving that men do not, in fact, have it better than women. In doing so, he incurred the wrath and enmity of feminists everywhere.

So much for good faith…

However, Warren Farrell hasn’t changed his tune. He still believes in gender equality as a laudable goal. You might think that this would put him in alignment with feminists in general, but then again one could say that Stalin and Trotsky’s differences were not really all that substantial, either.

And this is perhaps the best metaphor for feminism and MRA: the Stalin/Trotsky split in the Bolshevik party. Both believed in the inevitability of the workers’ state and both shared the same general Marxist philosophy; they only disagreed on the specifics and how to get there. Nevertheless this occasioned a great deal of hatred. Trotsky and his acolytes lost early on, and from then on they were relentlessly hounded across the world by Stalin’s henchmen.

So here we are in the USA, feminists having won the equality war hands down, holding all the cards politically and having the power of the state at their disposal. Yet MRAs insist that theirs is the “true equality,” and continue to believe that the same belief system that so thoroughly crushed them from the beginning is ultimately their salvation.

It would be laughable if it weren’t so sad.

I’d like to offer another option:

Reject the ideology altogether. Stop trying to compete on the same terms. People who offer promises of this unicorns and rainbows fantasy of gender equality are selling you a barrel of bad apples. After all, you’d end up with the same thing even if MRAs did manage to win. Gender confusion, emasculation, unattractive women, sexual chaos and the destruction of the family.

Instead, recognize that men and women are different, and different rules and standards can and must be applied to them for the benefit of both individuals and society.

Imagine if Russians, instead of rejecting Communism altogether, had simply switched from Stalinism to Trotskyism. They’d still be living in a drab, totalitarian state with severe restrictions on individual freedom and lower material standards.

Same goes for MRA vs. feminism. If you had your choice, wouldn’t you prefer “none of the above?”

Think about it.

Former Subway sandwich pitchman Jared Fogle, in jail for his conviction on child pornography and sex with minors charges, blamed the parents of one of his female victims for her “destructive behaviors.”

Fogle, 38, who became famous after shedding weight on a diet that included sandwiches from the fast-food chain, pleaded guilty in November 2015 to charges of child pornography and traveling for illicit paid sex with minors.

Fogle, in a response filed on Thursday to a civil lawsuit brought on behalf of the girl, argued her parents should be third-party defendants alongside him. The parents may be liable for all or part of the victim’s claims against him, according to the court documents.

The victim, who was surreptitiously videotaped by an associate of Fogle for pornography, which became a part of the case against Fogle, filed her lawsuit in March. Her case seeks monetary damages for personal injuries and mental anguish.

The allegations are separate from the charges for which Fogle is serving a 15-1/2-year prison sentence, which was upheld by a U.S. appeals court in Chicago in June.

An attorney for Fogle declined to comment. Attorneys for the victim did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Fogle’s motion says the parents’ “hateful and abusive” relationship toward each other, alcohol abuse and a lack of parental supervision caused emotional distress and depression suffered by their daughter, and paved the way for several “destructive behaviors” in which she engaged.

The parents are liable for her “harmful activities” like alcohol abuse, substance abuse, self-mutilation, and sexual activity with multiple partners, Fogle’s complaint says.

Why don’t women have kids at 21 instead of 31 or 41? Indeed it is far more logical for women to have kids earlier. Not just for the reasons you cite but also because by delaying a career for 10 years she can see her children to a point where they are semi-autonomous.

Once her kids reach 10 she can see them off to school in the morning and spend the day going to college or trade school. By the time the kids reach high school and need the least oversight the mother can begin her career and any employer can be assured that she will be more dedicated than if she had no children or had young children.

But feminists don’t want this. As Simone do Beauvoire wrote in “The Second Sex,” women cannot be given this choice because they will choose it.

Most women intuit the lie of feminism: that being a stay at home mom is “oppression” the moment they have a child and want to stay home. For the lucky few they are afforded the luxury of doing just that because of a willing and able husband. For most women, their choices are greatly limited thanks to feminism. Many men simply cannot support a household on their own income. Women, competing against men and employing hypergamy not only results in lower status men but also lower status women.

For instance, if we have a community of 1000 workers and there are 100 good jobs paying around 100k a year, and only men are allowed to work those jobs then that means that 100 families will have an income of 100k a year. But when women compete against men and say 40 of those jobs go to women and those women employ hypergamy then only 60 families have an income of 100k, and 40 have an income of 200k.

This means that 40 women will have to marry men who make less than 100k. This contributes to the widening gap between the rich and poor that many financial pundits fail or refuse to recognize.

This same dynamic applies to those families with two 50k incomes. The actual pain of these lower incomes is really felt by the mother most because she has to work to keep the family at the middle class level whereas 40 years ago she could choose to stay home.

But the real pain is felt at the lower incomes. Even two 20k incomes aren’t enough to allow a family of 4 to enter the middle class. And these lower incomes are the most common (and so is divorce among this class).

As always, feminism has always benefited the rich white women the most because the same dynamic that propels the sons of the rich into high paying occupations also does the same for the daughters.

The problem is that hypergamy (and high divorce not discussed above) are creating more lower income women than before. Feminism is harming women only women are too indoctrinated and selfish to realize it.

One such alliance will likely occur between feminists and Equalist MRAs, who will set aside their differences to fight any new concept of the relationship between men and women. MRAs and feminists may oppose each other, but that’s because they see male and female as opposing forces due to their worldview. To them, it can’t be any other way. Struggle between the sexes is right and natural, because, to put it in Marxist terms, it’s a class struggle. Eventually, in their eschatology, one is supposed to emerge victorious at some distant undefined point, but they really suspect this struggle is more or less eternal and a fundamental part of life, similar to the struggle between good and evil that characterizes some Christian thought.

When someone comes along and challenges that worldview, both feminists and MRAs will see it as a threat, and both will confront this challenge. In doing so, they will work together, as they did in the beginning when Equalism overthrew the old Western order.

I think I’m already beginning to see signs of it. Challenge Equalism, and immediately feminists start defending some MRA causes, and MRAs will begin to say that feminism is only bad in practice, not theory (try it yourself if you’re curious). It’s similar to the way in which different factions of Christians were bitter enemies when dealing with each other, but united in common cause when faced with an external threat.

That external threat is coming. It is gathering forces and preparing for a long campaign. When it mobilizes, we’ll see Equalists of all persuasions align themselves against it.

The maturity argument

Dennis Prager, a syndicated radio talk show host has addressed this “maturity argument” many times. Dr. Prager states things like “marriage breeds maturity” and “after marriage having children breeds even more maturity” and he is absolutely right.

In addition to the fact that marriage does mature people, and so does having children, he talks about the need for people to get married younger and have children younger as they used to in the pre-modern era.

I would add to what he has said that as parents in the 20th and 21st centuries we have messed up (myself include in some ways). Each generation of parents over the last century has grown softer and softer on our children.

We hear people say things like, “we have to let children be children”, which basically means that our children have little to no real life responsibility until they reach 18, besides keeping up with their schooling in most cases. Even then we extend the childhood years with college, where they can party and have more fun for about 4 years before they graduate at 22 and are forced for the first time in their life to take on the full responsibilities of being an adult.

In pre-modern times, the idea of a child hood experience with absolutely no responsibility was a very short period. By the time children were 6 or 7 they were being taught the realities of life.

Boys hunted with their dads at a very young age, and girls learned to cook and make clothing at a very young age. By the time most children reached the age of 10, they knew what a hard day’s work was, the boys knew about hunting, farming and fighting, and the girls knew about caring for infants (helping their mother, or cousins or aunts) and they had seen many births. These girls were excited about the day when they would have their first period, and they were excited about when they would be able to marry and have children (usually around 13 or 14).

As a result, america started its own holocaust which has now "legally" murdered well-over 10 times as many people as hitler murdered in his holocaust. And there is no end to the american-made holocaust in sight! Even though murder is plainly against the law, but corrupt evil psychopath judges allow murder simultaneously "not" to be against the law too.

And america is just one country out of many wherein the exact scenario that I've just described has happened and wherein those countries' own "legal" holocausts also continue.

So all that proves beyond any doubt that the ideas that courts are good or that courts follow the law are completely bunk.

I recall these events as they happened without exaggeration or fabrication.

It was Tuesday July 26th. My wife, daughter and I were preparing to embark on a two week holiday in Skiathos, Greece. We were to be picked up at 1:30am in a taxi to travel to Manchester airport for an early morning flight.

A few days before, I had started to experience some pain when passing urine. It had happened before, but passed off in a day or two, but this time it did not pass off. It was getting more painful, more urgent and more frequent. At 11pm I started passing blood. I had to face the reality that I was in no condition to travel and would have to cancel the holiday and seek urgent medical attention. Then ...

Words come into my head saying "Just lie down and pray the Rosary". I have nothing to lose, so I lay on the bed and start silently reciting the sorrowful mysteries of the Holy Rosary. As I pray, all the pain and discomfort drift away and I am covered with a blanket of reassurance telling me that all will be well. As I start on the glorious mysteries, I am so comfortable that I have to make an effort to keep awake. While I am praying, my wife joins me for a lie down, oblivious of the drama I have experienced. On finishing the Glorious mysteries, I drift off to a peaceful sleep. I wake up at 1am in time to prepare for the taxi. I take the two and a half hour taxi ride to Manchester without a single toilet stop. Just two hours earlier I had been weeing blood every five minutes. During the three and a half hour flight I make just one toilet trip, free from pain and blood and I look forward to what turns out to be a wonderful holiday.

So I humbly give thanks and praise to God for this amazing answer to prayer.

People will inevitably ask the question : "Why does God answer my prayers and not other people's?" All I can say is that whenever I put my faith and trust in God, prayers do get answered. I am convinced that faith is the key which unlocks the power of prayer.

postscript: When we arrived in Greece I told my wife of the drama I experienced. She was shocked and amazed, and made me promise to see a doctor when we returned home. The doctor confirmed that I had a urinary tract infection, and I was given a course of antibiotics to clear it up, but she offered no explanation for the two week respite which allowed me to enjoy our holiday.
